I need everyone's advice! I'm using the 32 oz TT and the past couple of times I've shampooed, I've gotten greasy hair. The roots and ends feel clean, but the middle of my hair doesn't feel that way. This has only recently been a problem, I've used Wen since February without any issues. I'm driving myself crazy figuring out what I'm doing wrong. I am using the correct amount of pumps and I'm rinsing for like 5 minutes each time. I did just switch to the 32 oz, before I was using the 16. I used 10-12 pumps and with the 32 I'm using 6-8. I even added some 613 in today to see if I needed more than what I am using to no avail. I'm stumped! I love Wen and know there is a learning curve so any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Re: Im stumped and need help!

I had the same problem with my new fig...this has never happened before to me and I have been using wen for a long time.I thought maybe I didn't rinse enough but not that you posted the same issue...well I have to wonder if some formula changes have occurred.

Re: Im stumped and need help!

jbkfan, welcome to the Wen forum and welcome to Wen!!

I was just taking a look at the information I pulled together from Chaz's site as well as the revised pdf on QVC's Wen Cleansing Conditioner page.

Something just doesn't look right.

A while back they changed the pump for the 32oz. CC. It used to have 240 pumps per bottle and now it has 192 pumps per bottle. -- I think that the number of pumps they're recommending using for the 32oz. CC may be too many.

Off hand, you may want to experiment with using fewer pumps from the 32oz. CC when you cleanse. You could even pump the CC from the 32oz. bottle into one of your 16oz. CC bottles, use the 16oz. CC and see if that makes a difference.

Also, are you doing one cleanse or two cleanses (i.e. R&R - rinse and repeat). Chaz suggests dividing the total pumps in half and doing two cleanses.

Best of luck!!!

This is the link to the info I compiled based on the the info at Chaz's site and at QVC. I think they probably should be recommending using fewer pumps for the 32oz. size...

Wen - you use fewer pumps for the 613 Cleansing Conditioner that for all other CCs & suggested numb...

Number of pumps in each size of Cleansing Conditioner bottle

* 6 oz. - 60 pumps

* 16 oz. - 160 pumps

* 32 oz. - 192 pumps

* 128 oz. (gallon) - 128 pumps

Re: Im stumped and need help!

Thanks, Bebe! I think it must be confusion I am having with the 32 oz. I used my 16 oz SOB and SAM tonight and my hair went back to normal. I am gonna try what you said and use less pumps. I knew it was user error but didn't know what it was. 3-5 pumps will be my experiment next time! If that doesn't work I'm dumping it my old TT16 oz bottle!

jbkfan, you're most welcome and I'm glad it made sense to you... because when I first looked at it, well it hardly made sense to me. Smile I think the people at Wen are going to have to redo the math on those numbers.

I'm glad you have the 16oz. CC bottles.

Happy wenning!!!
