Do I leave the cleanser in for 3 to 5 minutes on the first wash or the second? I cleansed my hair last night and this morning it feels greasy and looks it too. What am I doing wrong. I usually cleanse, rinse and on the second wash leave it in and comb it through.

shiningstar ..... I leave the CC in my hair during the second cleanse. Doing the second cleanse has made a huge difference in my hair. Perhaps you are not using enough pumps or not rinsing enough. Are you rinsing it out after the second cleanse? You need to rinse it out really well after both cleanses. There is definitely a learning curve so you may just have to experiment before you find what works best for you. HTH, Maria

Just do whatever works for you. I apply my first cleanse and scrub it in really well with a splash of water. I rinse it out pretty quickly, then apply my second cleanse. I let the second cleanse sit while I perform my other showerly duties.

are you adding a decent splash of water and frothing up the product for both cleanses? I think this is crucial. I get much better results doing this, it's like night and day from the first time I tried WEN. First cleanse, apply - comb or run fingers through - add (for me a handful) of water to hair, work it in and then apply one more, work it though. It doesn't take long, consider it like the suds in shampoo. then rinse. do this after the second application and let this sit on your hair while you do the rest of your body, shaving, etc. then rinse.

Apply the first amount of CC. Add a splash of water and work it through your hair, concentrating on the scalp. Rinse well
Apply the second amount of CC. Add a splash of water and work it through your hair, making sure you still address the scalp, but also spend a little more time on the length and ends.
Pile your hair up on your head and clip it out of the way, if needs be while you complete your shower.
Rinse your hair, using the WEN comb to make sure you get everything out, and staying under the shower until you are sure everything is completely rinsed out.
Add some CC back as a leave-in, but only do it on the ponytail of your hair, not up at the scalp/roots.
If you apply any WEN styling products, do them on wet hair and be sure to start at the bottom and work your way up. You don't want a high concentration of product at your scalp or it will make your hair greasy.

On 2/6/2014 JeanLouiseFinch said:This, exactly! I use my fingers instead of a WEN comb, but this. For what it's worth, this is also exactly what I used to do with shampoo and conditioner when I conditioner-only washed before I used WEN. How I wash my hair didn't really change when I switched to WEN.Apply the first amount of CC. Add a splash of water and work it through your hair, concentrating on the scalp. Rinse well
