My favorite is home baked turkey sandwich with mayo.  I will not eat deli turkey, it tastes like paper to me.

Second is a summer tomato sandwich with mayo, salt and pepper.

Always and forever a great burger.

Today we had a tuna salad of chopped apple, celery and walnuts and good tuna in the glass jar with a tiny bit of Duke's Lime Mayonnaise.  It was served on a spinach and arugula salad dressed with vinegar, but sometimes is served open face on toast.  Which would classify it as a sandwich?  Woman Wink

My favorite sandwich was the Monte Cristo.

It's made with ham/turkey, cheese, mayo (or mustard)

and it's dipped in a batter before going on a griddle or being fried.

Some recipes add strawberry sauce, powdered sugar, bread crumbs, etc.

At its core, the Monte Cristo is made as a double or triple decker with ham, turkey, and Swiss cheese. The assembled sandwich is then dipped into an egg batter or custard and pan fried or deep fried until golden. In the Southern United States, it also sometimes includes a crunchy breading, such as crushed corn flakes.

Italian salami, provolone cheese, peppers and onions made with olive oil and baked in the oven. Put it all on a Kaiser roll. Oh boy.

Re: Favorite Sandwich 🥪

Taking specialty type sandwiches like crabcakes and burgers out of the mix, then I'll take a grilled smoked turkey on pumpernickel with swiss, cole slaw and russian dressing. Wouldn't turn down a side of steak fries to go with that one either.
