Re: Have You Ever Had See's Candy?

I like their Polar Bear Paws and truffles.

I was at the mall yesterday, and there were probably thirty people in line at See's.

Re: Have You Ever Had See's Candy?

They have the best peanut brittle I've ever tried.  Very tender, in a way that's hard to explain.  It is so tender, it arrives broken in very small pieces from shipping, but the flavor is so buttery and so delicious, I didn't mind the tiny pieces.   Similar in flavor to Werther's but not as hard and brittle.

I first tried it when a See's representative,  customer of our's sent some to sample.  I latered ordered some from amazon, but my gosh it's expensive, and I don't need to eat that much candy.  Addictive!

Yes...I had family out west and they always had some in the house when we visited.  I was a kid then so any candy was good to me...but my aunt always said it was delicious chocolate.

My favorite assorted candies. My sister-in-law works there seasonally. She sent over four pieces for me yesterday. Thought I could space them out but ate them all yesterday.

Oh my, I thought the whole world knew of see's candy.  It is the best quality candy.  I am 71 and grew up with Sees.   I love the rum nougats and nougat chew.  Oh heck, I love it all.  Costco sells gift certificates too.  I buy online a lot, they have a seasonal one here in town but too crowded.  The brick and mortar ones are too far

online gives you discounts for shipping and also mr reb@tes rewards.  I think everyday you get free shipping over 99 bucks

To get See's candy is a special time enjoy, I am happy with Pot of Gold Hershey's hope 50% off or b1g1f type of thing with Hershey's. I like all soft centers. See's is the upper crust. I remember growing up near Phila. had a Mom & Pop special candystore Mom always got us an easter egg with our name on it. Wow, great candy all homemade. Godiva is too rich for me but so many love it.

There are many See's candy stores here in California.  It's good quality. I've purchased it as gifts countless times and received it countless times.  Everyone knows it's expensive, so when it's gifted it makes a good impression.

However, in my opinion, it's no better than the much cheaper brands like Russel Stover and Whitman's.  I think a lot of people think it's better just because it costs so much and they have cutesy stores everywhere.

Totally agree with you!  In my opinion it's totally over-rated.

I grew up in MA & LOVE the chocolate from a small candy store there.  I've been in CA now for almost 40 years, & my sister just sent me my Christmas gift of their turtles & bark...WAY better than anything from See's!

When my husband was alive he loved the See's Nuts & Chews, but my kids always hated See's & much preferred the chocolate from the MA shop.

I remember one time years & years ago I bought some See's chocolate eggs at Easter & they were horrible & tasted like wax... Brach's would have been better!

I just read that it was one of the best candies to buy. I never heard of this candy and never saw it in any stores. If you have had it where did you buy it and is it better than other candy.

@cuddlesmama   Love it.  Every Christmas I receive rum nougats, my favorite.  We have See's stores all over in California. I also get the chocolate covered strawberry creams
