Re: I just finished decorating for Fall!

hmmm, so Christmas decor goes up around 9/1 then???? I live in Florida and frankly, it's still hot here in October. The juju for fall decorating, including the ugly blow-up pumpkins my neighbors insist on (grrrrr) just doesn't register for me, so not sure about Fall decorating in August. I can barely get into Xmas when it's 70+ in December with all the sun room windows open. To each his own -- "follow your bliss," as they say. The heart wants what the heart wants. . .and my heart wants no fall or even Xmas decorating in sweltering Florida.

SL; as an native Nebraskan, as you well know, we don't take kindly to folks who squelch the fun of others. I am busting out my JS Witch collection & I too am in full-blown Fall/Halloween transition. I always take my vacations during the same times of the year to enjoy the fun of getting out & decorating my collection I have aquired throughout the years. My next vacation will be the first week of November and yes, decorating my home for Christmas while I am shopping for my Thanksgiving dinner. Can't wait to see your pics!

The last thing on my mind right now is decorating for fall. It's still summer where I live.

I say decorate when the feeling hits! Believe me, here in Phoenix people I talk to are more than ready for Fall. School starts this week for many. I'm not too big into decorating but I do have a few fall decorations. I think I put them out end of August last year. It will still be 100+ degrees into October where I live. Enjoy your fall décor and the birds, Susan!

Then why do you live here? You certainly don't sound very happy.....

Re: I just finished decorating for Fall!

I live in N. Central Fl. It is always hot until Jan. I decorate for fall by August 20 for a selfish reason. College football is my FAVORITE time of the year. My decor isn't as much as some but changing out a few things and I'm beyond thrilled! I watch College Football from Gameday to around 1am. Both of my so -in-laws were at tracked to my daughters because of their love of football. I live in a split family. Husband is a FSU fan and I'm a Gator fan. Yes we even have the thing around our car license that says a house divided. Susan Louise I'm happy for you. We all have those things that make us content. Hang in there girlfriend.

Susan Louise: Why do you live in Nebraska? I live in LaVista, just south of Omaha. I am ready for fall decorating too.

Re: I just finished decorating for Fall!

Alot of judgement out there today. I'd ignore it. I'm ready for a change in seasonal decorations. Fall is my favorite season to decorate because of the color palette. I bet it looks nice. BTW, I was born and raised in Danbury.
