I just finished decorating for Fall!

Yippie...WooHoo...YaHoo!!! {#emotions_dlg.biggrin}

Some folks might think I'm kooky, but that's ok. I'm thrilled for so many reasons. By doing so, I will be able to enjoy the birds migrating...including the hummingbirds, enjoy the new decor (had our Spring/Summer stuff up since the end of February), and watch all the Fall decor shows without spending anymore $$$!

I went to the H-L- decor store and got supplies so I could make a couple of arrangements with sunflowers, found some crows I've been wanting, and a couple of short garlands. I spent the entire night completing everything! I'm too tired to take pics now, but I'll post them tomorrow {#emotions_dlg.thumbup}

To me, Fall starts in August...the birds start the Fall migration, the sunflowers are blooming, and all the reasons I put in my OP.

I add Halloween decor pieces the beginning of October and change them out with Thanksgiving pieces the beginning of November.

I'e mentioned this in another thread a month or so ago...

Folks decorate for each season/holiday on their own schedule and to their own liking. Those that decorate for Christmas do so at 4 main times...The day after Thanksgiving, the beginning of Dec, the middle of Dec, and Christmas Eve.

They also take down their decorations at a variety of times...the day after Christmas, New Year's Day, the day after, Jan 6th, the end of January, etc.

I put up our Christmas/holiday the day after Thanksgiving and take everything down the day after New Year's Day Smile

Good for you, Susan Louise! Smile

I think you're smart to get a head start on it, so you can enjoy it to it's fullest.

What's the H-L- decor store?

P.S. I'm looking forward to seeing your pictures!

Hi CaliKat! That stands for Hobby Lobby (I just try and avoid having posts 'poofed' by mentioning other retailers Smile

Bless your heart for wanting to see pics! I'll post them probably early evening at the latest...

Everything sounds beautiful, Susan Louise! Please don't feel the need to explain yourself to anyone. There's something about this time of year that always makes me want to switch out my home décor as well. Guess ennui can cross Illinois off of his/her list of places to live, too!

I look forward to seeing your photos. Have a nice evening.

All one has to do is look up the definition of the word "ennui" - Will explain so much.

Enough said! {#emotions_dlg.sleep}
