I agree, or like, or may even just relate.  I do love the one's that make me laugh out loud the most!

If I started the thread - I heart as a 'thanks for taking the time to respond'.

Other threads - if I agree/like what was said.

Re: When you "HEART" someone

Let's see. I heart a post the echoes my thinking, as long as it's not over the top insulting to others. I will often heart a post that I think has been ignored. I will heart every reply to my threads unless they are rude or post something that is totally against my thinking.

I like giving hearts.

@Just Bling    It could be any of your first 3 choices depending on what was written.  Sometimes I give hearts just because it's obvious the author has put a lot of effort into creating a well-written post.

We have some great writers here on the boards.  It's a real shame so many threads are thoughtlessly zapped and these creations which took time and effort to write are so quickly destroyed.

Re: When you "HEART" someone

It's one of two things when I heart...

1.  like a thumbs up

2.  it's from my heart to yours. The situation usually lets you know.

Re: When you "HEART" someone

You said exactly what I would have said.

To show empathy.

You made me chuckle.

Acknowledge a response to me.

Re: When you "HEART" someone

@Cakers3   I'm ever to careful not to duplicate previously posted topics but when I put "heart" in the subject matter, there was a list but nothing related to heart posting.that's why I am asking....so sorry for the duplication

Re: When you "HEART" someone

I heart posts only when I agree with the contents/theory/ideas/logic of it.

On some threads in some of the forums, for exampl, in Pet Lovers, if someone is posting a heartfelt announcement of the passing of their pet, I use it as a 'hug' as well.

I heart...

When I agree with a post, either most of it or all of it

All responses to a thread I started to acknowledge the reply, even if I don't necessarily agree

When people @ me so they know I read it

When people take the time & effort to start threads with lots of photos & comments
