I don't know, has it ever been discussed??
yes, it has been discussed frequently......some like the hearts, some dont like the hearts, some dont use them at all, others use them frequently.
i use it to confirm that i LIKE what was said OR i agree with the thoughts OR sometimes it is used just to say "nice to see you" or "thanks for thinking of me."
i would never heart a post that i did not like, not agree with, or not approve of. i generally do not heart posts just to show that i read it.

When someone announces the death of a loved one I'll heart their post as I've noticed that is an acceptable way of giving condolences. When a thread becomes long and the messages are practically identical, I feel awkward to post too when I can't think of anything original that hasn't already been said; so, a heart seems to work best at those moments.

I
because:
1.I agree with someone
2. I find their post--touching, inspirational, or enjoyed the funny story/meme they shared.....
3. Acknowledged their response to my post....

It means I agree with a post or thought when I "heart" a post on these forums.
If I do it on fb, it could also mean that I love what they posted or that I'm showing support for something.

@Kachina624 Oh, how I agree with your response to @Just Bling. I know only too well how the well written, meaningful, dedicated, thoughtful threads are destroyed and deleted while those that are meaningless and/or thoughtless ones are left. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure it out though.![]()

I heart b/c I agree with the post. I heart when someone posts something I hadn't thought of. I heart for humor or good sarcasm. I heart if someone expreses something no one else would dare.
I heart for a lot of reasons and more even than the above.

@Mistreatedbycs I pretty much agree with what the other posters have stated. On the Home forum I heart everyone for their opinions for acknowledging the post and giving their opinions. Most of them are just honest opinions and I like that. Different strokes for different folks and everyone listens to other opinions and accepts them. There have been very few remarks that I felt went a little too far but, on the whole, it is refreshing to have so many opinions without fighting!!!!!

For me, it means I read the post and I agreed with it or liked it.

I will heart a post if I agree with what is stated, if someone mentions me, and just to let people know I read what you took the time to post.
