Re: I think I am the Lone Ranger

@Noel7  you just gave me a smile and a laugh.  At breakfast the young women  waitresses and I, were chatting about the Super Bowl.  I casually mentioned, I wouldn't want a bunch of oafs in my living room. screaming and throwing things, if things go south..they howled with laughter..as you can see I am not a sports fan

Re: I think I am the Lone Ranger

I won't say that I hate sports, but I have absolutely no interest at all in football, basketball or baseball. I used to follow a baseball team when the son of a gal I worked with when he was a kid was playing, but since he's retired, I don't watch it at all. I do love hockey, both college and the NHL and follow my favorite teams/players avidly. I'll watch golf, but I'd rather play it.

Overpaid, egotistical, spoiled, immature, ill-tempered, childish brats.  My opinion of men and sports.

And someone will tell me they are not all like that, yeah, I know.

Good Morning, @cherry

I'm not a fan of LOUD.  The family next to us are big time sports fans and there are FIVE males there who get together to watch the games on TV.  LOUD.

We love them, and their kids have such a good time, but we're glad when they go home  Smiley Happy

@cherry

PS We are having a Superbowl party for the three of us, with some "manly food", just for the fun of it.  I'm fixing a charcuterie board with a couple of cheeses and crackers, grapes, salami, apple slices, olives, the usual, and DD is making a cheese dip and sausage balls.   Our first Smiley Happy

Re: I think I am the Lone Ranger

We're a sports family - we love watching and playing sports.

My husband's brother and nephews are coming over for their annual Super Bowl get together.  We'll have food and drink.  Everyone has a great time.

No one is obnoxious.   They don't act like oafs either.

My dad played professional football.  I grew up in a football-loving household.  Smiley Happy

My thing is football and hubby's is Disney- go figure.. we'll be watching the game this evening and pulling for the Eagles yet we are Falcon fans.  We're already sick of it being the B&B shows so far..  I say it's great to be an underdog..  woof woof..

  I have no pony in this race,  but I have seen people get all bent out of shape, if their team loses, to the point the would hit someone, or damage property

Re: I think I am the Lone Ranger

I like watching sports--tennis, golf, and football.  But I will NOT be watching this Super Bowl.  Despise the Patriots and as a Giants fan, despise the Eagles.  Hope they both lose!!!
