Thanks. Yes I do know how to find the garment measurements , however I am not on my computer every time I am watching. I'd most often like to hear the length of slacks or skirt or top.
@skatting44 I agree. I do not sit in front of my computer or even carry my cell phone with me everywhere. When I see something on air, I would like the bust, hip, and length of clothes. I am between sizes, and the measurements matter. If that info were on air, I could decided if I am interested enough to buy it. Whether or not the garment actually matches those measurements is another story though.
I see your point about not being online when you see something you are interested in, but do you really expect the holst to give all those measurements for small through 5x?
Or 00 through 28?
I don't see that as possible.

I am torn. On one hand if you're in the public eye and if your being paid handsomely, you had better deliver.
On the other hand much frustration could be eliminated on a customers behalf if it actually felt like something was being addressed with a host. Usually it doesn't or isn't, so people go off the rails on the boards!
In my case, I just gave up watching a couple of hosts because I found them so annoying and figured that for some strange reason, the higher-ups thought their behavior was fine. In essence, I just buy less now!

So, this is an inkling that maybe some customer requests to give us all the 911 abt clothing measurements was received by a Host .
However , the same customer concerns, requests are often repeated in these threads. Frankly , I do not think the Hosts nor the product Reps nor QVC really care since they are all most often consumed in social conversations talking over top of one another or constantlly telling us where we can wear an item .
When the hosts dont give much product information and start to act silly or turn it into a personal talk show, many viewers turn the channel and QVC loses sales. Then when Qurate (QVC) conducts their Quarterly Financial Report Press Conferences the CEO and Execs make comments that apparel lines are under performing and sales have declined in apparel....But the problem is that QURATE (QVC) Management is not connecting the dots, why are viewers not watching/buying, perhaps changes in the host's presentation style would help QVC sales!

@skatting44 The garment measurements are always available. After the description there is a "click here to see specific garment measurements".
Some people just do not know it is there.
Sometimes the "click here" measurements are missing and arent there and there is only "general measurement information" which is not specific for that item. OR the "click here" measurements are inaccurate...For example on one garment they said the length was 29" but in reality when it arrived it looked short and the actual measurement was 26" and not a tunic afterall ..... When a vendor makes clarifications on air and says that the product is true to size, or tells us to size down, or size up that on air information is critical to prevent a return!

For instance some hosts chat and don't seem to have time to describe the products they are to sell. Some hosts are into family discussions. I want product info. I cannot touch or taste what is being sold. I need the best information I can get to make a good decision. Sending back is no fun, time consumming and expensive.
I think you just did it @bonnielu, and you did it in a way without bashing. I think we should be able to discuss the host's, and what we like or dislike. I don't think it should ever be about looks, or body shaming.
I agree QVC has let this go too far with the hosts. I don't mind a quick mention of their private life, but this constant talking about their children, husband, house or vacation is of no interest to me as a consumer. I don't feel connected to the host, and I am not friends with the host, and I don't want to be.
Well said! And if revenues and sales are down that means something is wrong and when people post that they dont watch certain shows because of a host---thats a clue! People can just leave QVC and the Forums and go on their merry way to another retailer, but is that helping QVC to stay in business--I think not. People post constructive criticism because they actually do care about QVC and want the company to remain in business!

Why do people feel they have to offer advice on how they should be doing their job?
How would people like it if others commented on the way they did their jobs, especially on a public forum?
Imagine how you would feel if you were publically shamed because someone felt you should be doing your job differently. If the Hosts need more instruction, it is up to their employer to provide them with the info.
If you feel you have to comment on their performance, write a letter to QVC. This should be done in a private way, not publicly....or maybe you want the attention and want other's to agree with you.
By deleting the negative posts about their Hosts, it is quite clear that QVC doesn't want those type of comments on their forums.
Not just QVC, but every job has to have some type of performance evaluation, employees arent allowed to just goof off and have good time! Even retailers and other businesses send out surveys or encourage YELP REVIEWS asking how their business did and asks about employee performance too.....Whether it be a retail store, or a service industry (doctor's office, Auto repair, plumbers, grocery store shopper and delivery service, food service etc etc etc) Management wants to know what customers think! And yes replies should be done in a constrcutive and respectful way,.....

@Johnnyeager wrote:Many of us do not perform our jobs in a public forum over television.
The hosts do.
To compare their job to the employment of most of us is ridiculous and not comparable.
Except for those of you who do entertainment on the airwaves.
Why does it matter if somone works in the public eye or they are hidden away while they work? Everyone deserves respect...everyone.
It is not right to call out someone's performance on a public forum.
It's the same for posters who have to bring up another poster's poor grammar or spelling errors and call it constructive criticism. Do they really think they are being helpful? I think not.
So I guess YELP REVIEWS and other like sites should be removed....

@mspemberley wrote:@Carmie I am retired from retail middle management and I can tell you that anyone in sales is subject to performance evaluation. This is part of the job. Verbal critiques as needed and an annual performance review is part of every job. Each salesperson would receive extensive training initially and then attend classes and training while employed to keep the sales force engaged and effective. I have no doubt that feedback from these boards is collected and presented to those who need to know during meetings and one-on-one as well. (Although sometimes it doesn't seem that way). Having said that, personal attacks should be deleted from here but they're probably noted.
Management is immersed in data, sales numbers, customer feedback They live and breath all this. So glad to be retired!
VERY WELL SAID! 👍👍👍

Can't you do the same with television shopping? It's not like a particular host is the only game in town or that you can't find specifics on line or by making a phone call.
Unless it is personal.
But sometimes ONE host IS the only option someone can watch depending on their work schedule and personal schedule and they arent available to view the item on other shows....

They used to show the bust, waist and hip measurements on a block on the tv screen
