Today was the first of 10 days of the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta, with over 600 balloons registered.  It's so exciting to have them back in town after last year's cancellation.  If anyone would like to watch part of it, it's being live streamed by all 3 local TV stations starting about 7am MDT.  Much of the coverage is by helicopter.  The stations are KOB TV, KOAT TV, KRQE TV.  We're 2 hours behind Eastern time.

I took a balloon ride in Albuquerque a few years back and it was incredible!  Hope to someday experience the festival itself.

I've been up a couple times.  My cousin owned.  I remember my first time up we got up at 6A.M.  Very peaceful up there.  So long ago - I remember looking over to the World Trade Center.  He named his balloon Soaring Spirits!
