@PamfromCT Is everything by you closed? We've been going about as usual here in southern NY. We were on vacation in NE the past two years with family. Airbnbs were open and we rented. Did sightseeing. Didn't go into any crowds of people if there were any though. Everything here is open, not that we have museums here though and I am not going into NYC anytime soon whether they are open or not. My family in Ma. did have to cancel Christmas as one tested positive, so it was postponed till he was ok. Trying times for sure.

@KittyLoverBobb I'm a cold weather person and have enjoyed the cool, but comfortable NC winters. Expecting snow, sleet, freezing temps this weekend which isn't my bag.

I do understand the frustration of those in more unforgiving climates and are so dependent and restricted by the weather.

Our smaller city in NC is never prepared for any snow events. The schools close at the mere thought of it...few sanding trucks that never reach the side streets until already melted.

Large percentage of bus drivers here, covid related, are out causing parents to drive & pick up school kids. Snow always caused issues with county roads and why schools closed if all kids could not attend.

Yes, being cooped up whether covid, icy weather, etc. stinks.

I live in Maryland and I enjoy all four seasons. I'm at the age where I don't want to wish my life away so I like each season as it arrives.

@proudlyfromNJ Some people like us aren't getting out among people. We are responsible for someone who has no one else available to them, so we don't go out and chance it.

Some of us simply can't/don't want to/don't have the option due to the risk. Yes things are open, but we don't go.

No, it hasn't been a bad winter. We only had one snow storm which wasn't bad, 12 inches of light puffy snow that didn't last. We only had one bought of Arctic cold weather and that was just for 2 days. Other than that it's been 30s and 40s with some low 50s. A good winter. Fingers crossed it goes as well on February and March.

We're in mid-January. now hat the hustle and bustle of the holidays are past, the time slows to a crawl. Late January and February seem to drag on and on and on. i don't care unless we get a Polar Vortex. By late February the sun is strong and any snow accumulation melts quickly.

I got my first flower catalog yesterday and went thru it today. Picking out more perennials and going to make a list. I always do that and then constantly change it But it's fun to dream of spring.......sigh.
