Oh my gosh--I completely forgot to stop by this morning. Zumba was fun yesterday and evidently I made the cut for all the changes at the gym and will be the 'real' teacher on Thursday Zumba. I have some great songs for November--I just need to learn them!! I think I have all the choreography written down. 2 of them are pretty easy--I have 6 new ones to learn. One of them is a jive from La Blast that I may have to dumb down--mainly because I don't know if I can keep up with it. I hope everyone likes the new music.
I had weight training today. I'm still trying to get myself readjusted to my regular schedule after traveling this week. I had a massage scheduled and canceled it until next week so I could regroup. my massage therapist talks a lot and I really wasn't in the mood to listen to him today.
@Mmsfoxxie, that was a nice story. It probably made the man feel good to do that for you. I probably would have split a dessert after a big meal. My grandfather, aunt and cousin all have Parkinson's. It eventually killed my grandfather and aunt and I hope that they have made progress in the treatment so that my cousin can avoid the effects of the disease and its medications. He is 58--same age as i am--and I can already see some of the symptoms. It's just heartbreaking. This is what Mohammed Ali had--and Michael Fox. My grandfather had tremors as bad as Mohammend Ali. It's a horrible disease.
Hope you all have a good weekend!

@Mmsfoxxie I hope your mouth is feeling better. ![]()
@DrKelli I want to come and dance!
I have an uncle with Parkinsons and it is a horrible disease. All of the neurological ones are. I really wish the researchers would throw the money at all encompassing protocols rather than trying to find a wonder drug. Wonder drugs don't work for the brain. It's too complex. Try the stuff that is showing some promise and let everyone have at it please. So frustrating. I had an aunt who died of MS 30 years ago and I still feel like there has been zero progress. Not okay.
I am going to Ikea tomorrow and Walmart maybe tonight to try and find some furniture for my new place so I can put all my junk away. I am logging weight lifting for the weekend now in case I can't lift a finger to type afterward.
Have a good day all!

Hey everyone raining again, I think I'll build an arc, 42 and raining, almost foggy, icky. I did a short walk but the majority of my workout was the TG for 40 minutes, and the Gazelle off and on all day.
And kids we had a 300 pound bear last night in our yard, near my front porch trying to take the feeder down. He did take my backyard ones down, dang him. Logan barked, we got up to look out the window, Hubby saw it and I didn't but he said huge. Then he goes on our backyard deck where it's black as black, and we turn on the light on the deck and he stands there with a flashlight and tells me to go down and get the feeders. Our deck is kind of high, so make me do it why don't ya!! I went down the stairs and crouching along grabbed 3 of them and made my way back up on the deck and I heard a loud bunch of leaves and knew the bear was around making that noise, hubby is shining the flashlight throughout the yard. Real tough guy makes me go down and get the feeders...I don't think he would have come back though but you never know. So now haul them all in every night once again for about 3 weeks or until they hibernate but until we have snow that stays on the ground and they can get food they will stay around.
MickD sorry you had the "D", that's no good. so many bugs going aorund. Makes me want to stay away from crowds already and it isn't even peak flu season.
Judy sorry about your feet but glad you will have good orthotics.
foxxie yes the Vet this time was animal vet but I can understand why thought dad. We had trouble with him this morning, he's so stubborn, was filling his pill box for AM and PM and he says " I only take 1 pill at 4 o'clock" I said no dad you take AM pills and PM pills, and then you take 1 Plavex at 4 ( which I may add he could just put in this PM box but refuses to do that and takes it separately) so I don't question it but he was being a little ornery and said he wasn't taking them. I said "Yes you are and don't mess with me" LOL>...He tries to yank my chain sometimes, I don't let him get away with it. Glad you had a nice luncheon and a fabulous story about this man buying you ladies dessert and feeding his wife, how touching. MY BIL has Parkinsons and it's sad.
Nomless hi and waving!
Laura have you made any good recipes lately. I keep forgetting to check the recipe thread.
Waving to all! Have a good night!

@bopper I am totally upside down right now with the move so no cooking. I've been surviving on Lara bars and peanut butter all week. It's not pretty!

Hi Everyone. Just stopping by to say hi. Saw the posts about Parkinson's. My grandmother and uncle on my Father's side both had Parkinson's. When my daughter was about 3 to 4 we went to my parents' house for a visit. My uncle and aunt were visiting from out of state. So, of course, before we got there I talking to my DD about her uncle shaking and why - I did make it very simple cuz of her age - and not to worry that its nothing she can catch, etc. She seemed to understand and everything was fine. What does she do the minute we get there and I introduce her - goes right up to our uncle and as only a 3 to 4 year old can, puts one hand on her hip, her other hand turned out and upside down, looks at my uncle and says "why you shaking so much?" Ugh. I was horrified. Luckily, my Aunt and Uncle had children and grandchildren and they both had a fabulous sense of humor. My aunt bursts out laughing and my uncle starts laughing and then they both lovingly and patiently explained to my daughter why her uncle was shaking so much. It was all very sweet and ended well but I thought I would die. But kids will be kids and they say whats on their mind. Its actually turned out to be one of my favorite memories of my aunt and uncle, who are both gone now.
Foot is feeling pretty good today. May just try a walk around the block tomorrow. Hope everyone has a good weekend.

Hi, everyone. That’s a funny story @Judy. Kids can be brutally funny to our embarrassment, lol. @DrKelli, I hope your relative is coping well. I couldn’t think of the name Parkinson’s for the life of me, lol. Getting older is not for sissy’s, as somebody said. Sooo many calamities onlong the way.
Well, I made it through the root canal. The stress of getting it was worse than the procedure. I’m had three in my lifetime and this dentist was the most painless. Younger, too, probably more up to date. I told him I’m going to call him the singing dentist because he hummed through most of it. I think it calmed me during the last half because I thought “well if he’s humming, he must be confident that all is well”. When I got home, I immediately took an 800 mg ibuprofen that I had leftover from when that tooth had the abscess to get ahead of any potential pain.
I’m forgetting to mention somebody, sorry, lol. Zumba this morning and possibly a walk on the track. Have a great day everyone.

OW!
I have carried and put together five cube organizers. 2 eight cubes, 2 six cubes, and 1 three cube. And I still have not made Ikea.
I am sitting on my couch stiffening up and I am about to make a run to Walmart to start on bathroom stuff I need.
But my place looks fabulous and I have emptied two boxes. Score!

Hey everyone, well guess what?? It's another grey dreary wet day..Gosh I love this weather. NOT!!!!!!!
I just did the Gazelle today, but not all at once, up every hour and get on...Watching Hallmark this morning and football this afternoon..
Laura I can understand how busy you are. If you can post pictures of your new "pad" Sounds like it's coming together nicely.
Judy glad your foot is feeling better, it's been a while since you have been able to say that!
Dr.Kelli Almost Halloween and you can play your music!
Foxxie, is your Sunday going okay for you! i didn't know the Q had free shipping for 4 hours. I wish they would do this until the Holidays are over like so many other places, that dang shipping adds up to the point I won't but what I wanted, and then sending something back costs an arm and a leg too. I resorted a lot to Amazon.
Nomless thinking of you my friend!
MickD you feeling better?
Lucy waving in cyber world whether you see this or not!
Next weekend we turn the clocks,,,uggggggg so it will be dark at 5 almost...depressing I think and then your sluggish after dinner and sit until bedtime, and that's not good for you either.
Time for dinner, enjoy your evening!

Second day of weightlifting. I put together a shelf unit and a bathroom organizer and if I never see a screwdriver or Allen wrench again, this is my happy face. ![]()
I also carried a long bench through the store, into my car and down the stairs to its new home. My Fitbit actually did something I never saw before. It vibrated and gave me a star for 30 active minutes. I am now going to sit in my second Epsom salt bath of the day.
One of these days I'll have a real weekend again.

Wake up everybody! Let's get moving! Another beautiful day (rain, wind and all) is upon us to conquer.
I have two classes: Senior Cardio and Strength & Motion (weights with movement). I'm going to embrace every movement I can make. Let's appreciate the act of movement.
