Re: Welcome to the October Exercise Thread

[ Edited ]

@bopper  Happy Anniversary!

It is Pound and Power Tuesday and this is the day of our promised Halloween tracks.  The music is going before class begins and we get a Christmas song.  She promises that in a few weeks.  I won't hold my breath.

So I am ready for my Pound Halloween edition and I get nothing.  We do all abs and butt on the floor with only one leg track.  She does the one from last week because she messed it up big time and wanted to redeem herself.  Um, I think we are going to do it again next week.  Practice makes perfect.

There actually was one short ab track that I think was a heavy metal version of Monster Mash but I am not swearing to it.  I don't know what these people have with heavy metal music fixations but not something I want to work out to at 5am.  Apparently most people agree since Pound was kind of light today.

Power was the opposite.  Crowded.  I am not sure where all these new people are coming from.  They need to drop off and fast.  This is supposed to be my easy period with space.

Nudie was nude up top with leg warmers on the bottom.  Jane Fonda must be an idol.  Adonis was fake not breathing during the triceps track.  The teacher told him he doesn't need to breathe.  Gold star moment!

And I thought Ms. Rudeness had not made it in but she was nestled in a corner decked out in 80s neon as always.  This girl must have loved that decade.

I managed to keep all of my increased weight factor even though I am exhausted with no days off and moving things everywhere.  I finally had help to move my furniture and it looks like I may settle in this weekend.  I am so upside down!

Hope everyone has a great Tuesday.

@Mmsfoxxie  Congrats on the underweight!  I meant to say that yesterday.

@JudyL  Hope you are feeling better today.

@DrKelli  I know you are probably traveling and on the road and I have such an image of you singing as your road tripping or practicing Zumba moves at gas stations while you pump.  LOL

I am stopping now because I am overly tired and I have way too much imagination at this point.

Have a great week!

Re: Welcome to the October Exercise Thread

Hey, thank you for the Anniversary wishes.   It was a nice day, and the woods were so pretty on our walk.

I did Total gym for 30 minutes this morning and have done 2 dog walks.   In the mid 40's, it felt warmer than that to me because of no wind finally.

Laura when I did classes I had pretty good Halloween music, it was fun picking it out.

DrKelli hoping you are having a safe trip.

Judy are your feet any better?

MickD are you on the trails?

I see a storm is coming again to the South, is it a Tropical storm or Hurricane, I'm not sure.  Those people sure endure a lot.  I'll take the snow here!

Chicken in the crockpot.   I saw a new Ninja pressure cooker that crisps, none of the others crisp I don't think.

Nomless waving to you!

Lucy do you read here at all?  Would love to have you back!

Hoping everybody is doing okay and keep smiling!!

Re: Welcome to the October Exercise Thread

Hi, everybody!  Another beautiful, crisp fall day on the horizon.

I’m going to do an hour Zumba Tone class this morning.  For once, I’m glad it’s early since I will still have time to get home and get ready to go to a Red Hatter birthday luncheon.....not mine, two other ladies in the group.

I hope all of you are trying to live your life like it’s golden, as the saying goes.  Everyday is a precious gift.  Enjoy!

Re: Welcome to the October Exercise Thread

Good morning, everyone!  I got back last night--flights were full both ways (of course) and on the flight out to San Diego, we had 52 7th graders!  I was dreading it!  I will say that they were very well behaved and didn't bother me at all.  Coming back, we had a funny flight attendant which makes things much better.  My suitcase was first on to the baggage claim (YAY), I got the last seat on the shuttle ot the parking lot (YAY--otherwise I would have had to wait for another shuttle) AND I won the driver's little trivia contest and got a fun sized bag of M&Ms (YAY!)

The traffic in California really wasn't too bad because I landed after the morning rush and went to the other plant and back to the airport after the morning rush.  Their freeways are just intimidating.

I didn't get much working out in though. I did find out that I will be the regular Zumba teacher for the class I teach on Thursday.  They are adding another dance class on Tuesday that I will be able to sub if I'm available.  I hope it doesn't draw from my class--I hope people will attend both.

Today is Zumba--it's the last day for my Halloween playlist.  I listened to my November playlist on the plane and it sounds pretty fun.

Hope you all have a great day!

This week needs to end!  I am so crazy busy everywhere!  I feel like @DrKelli

I made Power and had a nice conversation with a girl I see all the time.  I am killing it in the new routines and weight increases if I do say so myself.  I have even nailed the crab in the air ab crunch thing that we are doing this week.

This is gonna be short because no Nudie, no Ms. Rudeness, Uncle Vinny has been MIA for weeks and I now have his fabulous parking spot.  Adonis was there and finally gave up that he was nursing an injury while he was MIA.  Uh huh.  The mirror don't lie and I believe it and the loving gaze it is missing now.

Have a great Thursday if you aren't already having one!!

Re: Welcome to the October Exercise Thread

Hey ya'all, it's dreary and drizzling here. I did a 30 minute walk with Logan this morning before it started but sure is wet and slippery out with leaves wet and mud.  Then off and on all day I use my Gazelle, TG day is tomorrow.

Has anyone read Dan Wheelers new book about his loving wife?  Wondering if it is in bookstores or if you have to order online.

Foxxie I agree about enjoying life, it is precious and short.   Enjoy your Red Hatters lunch, and glad you are having nice weather!

MickD- how's it going, hope everything is okay with you.

Judy hi and waving, are your feet better?

Nomless always in my thoughts!

Lucy, somewhere out in Cyber space you are there, waving hello

DrKelli glad you made your trip and it didn't sound all too bad.  Halloween Tuesday, yikes and all this Christmas talk already and the free shipping sites already on line for the Holidays, earlier and earlier every year.

Need to run now to the Vets, Logan needs a Bordetella shot so I can make our kennel arrangements for when we go to CO in December.  He won't be happy and I need his nails clipped too.  Luckily the Vets is about a 5 minute drive from my house so not too bad.

Be well everyone!

Re: Welcome to the October Exercise Thread

Hi Everyone.  Haven't reported in because not much has changed.  Feet still hurt, still using the cane.  I do have an appt this coming Monday with the Podiatrist to get fitted for custom orthotics.  Then it'll be about 2 weeks until they are ready.  So another few weeks of walking with a cane.  At least it gets me a seat on BART going to and from work.

Not much else to report.  By the time I get home in the evenings, I am spent so am not donig any stretching or anything.

@DrKelli I've lived in CA all my life - both Northern and Southern - and the freeways are very intimidating indeed!

Take care everyone!

Re: Welcome to the October Exercise Thread

Hey peeps!  I literally haven't ran in 3 weeks......Oh except this am when I had the big D out of no where .....running to the bathroom!

My family and I have been exchanging symptoms of headache, earache, D......I've just been walking the dogs, so that doesn't count as exercise.....

I was hoping to get to Costco today and buy Halloween candy - big bars.....but I don't know now.......jeez!

I haven't read back yet, so I hope everyone is happy and healthy and stress-free!

Re: Welcome to the October Exercise Thread

Good morning everyone.  Hope the big ‘D’ is over @MickD, that’s a bad feeling although I usually have the opposite problem.

@bopper, I had to smile when I saw the word vet in your post.  I automatically thought you were going to say something about your father.  Around my house, I hear the word vet referring to hubby going to the vet hospital where he gets his medication cheaper than the drug store.  My world, your world, lol.

Had a great time yesterday at my Red Hatter luncheon.  We always get looked at but yesterday an old guy came to our table and talked to us a bit, asking what we were about.  I said were just some old gals that get together to enjoy life and have mindless fun.  He said, “oh, that’s great”.  Then he stops the waitress and tells her to give us a drink or dessert on him!  We all profusely thanked him while thinking he was probably cuckoo and wouldn’t  it.  I quietly asked the waitress if she thought he was serious and she said yes.  I asked if he realized that most of the desserts were $14.  She said yes, he comes in all the time.  We said, Wow.  So, eleven ladies got free $14 desserts.  Incidentally, we looked over at his table later to see him feeding his wife her soup.  Looked like she had what Muhammad Ali had, hands extremely shaky.  Very touching.  Turns out he is the owner of several prominent jewelry stores here called Alberts Jewelers.  Very nice man and husband.  We also saw him slip the bus boy some cash.....I’ve never thought to do that.

No workout this morning......root canal day is finally here, drat it!   Has to be done, though.  I have a feeling I won’t be eating much this evening but maybe some soup, lol.  Have a nice day everyone.
