Re: Welcome to the October Exercise Thread

Good morning!  Decided to try to work out again and see how my feet handle it.  Decided to start out very slow.  I only did a one-mile work out of Leslie Sansone.  Know its not much but as much pain as I've been in with both of my feet the past few weeks, I just didn't want to push it.  This past week my feet seem to be doing so much better so want to take it very slow and easy.

Hope everyone has a good Monday

Re: Welcome to the October Exercise Thread

Hey everyone, it's raining, and more tomorrow and Wednesday, seems so much rain this Fall.

Glad we hiked yesterday, it was't sunny but it didn't rain.

I did Total gym Abs this morning and then my Gazelle for 40 minutes, no walking outside today for sure.

Judy I agree with you, take it slow.  You listen to your body, you know whats best for yourself.

Lots of football and baseball yesterday, and I"ll be watchimg more bseball playoff games this afternoon.

Hoping everyone's Monday has started off with a good positive attitude and spirit.  Don't let anyone drag you down!   Blessings!

Good morning all!

@JudyL, yes, listen to your body.  Usually, it’s telling you the truth.

This morning, I’ll be doing my Body Sculpt class, Flexibility class and then about 25 minutes of the Zumba class.

Enjoy your day everyone.

Re: Welcome to the October Exercise Thread

I have been up since 1:30am and went to the gym for Pound and Power around 4:30am.

There are newbies popping up and I can't wait until they are weeded out by colder weather and the holidays.  Horrible I know but they cramp my style.

Adonis is still MIA but Ms. Rudeness has returned.  Nudie took a holiday too.  I kept all of my increased weight factor and all pushups on my toes.  Even with only a few hours of sleep I rocked it and I'm proud of myself.  I'll probably crash when I sleep tonight.

New music next week which I can't wait.  I am so over the old stuff.  Especially in Pound but they don't seem to have new music for that class.  Just the same ones for the past two years now.

I managed to do most of my ab hovers so I patted myself on the back with that too.

Supposedly I am getting something from Hurricane Michael and after that we are finally supposed to have Fall.  Yay!

Have a good Tuesday all!

Re: Welcome to the October Exercise Thread

Good morning, all!

@Laura14, I hope Michael doesn't cause too many issues for you.  I hope you like the new music.  I keep some of the songs from month to month, but I try to change up about half the music.

Small group today--I didn't go yesterday because it was just cold and rainy and I didn't like the sub that we had.  It's funny how used to an instructor you get.

I'm super busy at work--I just got my budget worksheet and they want it submitted by Monday. So that is on my list for today.

I've been using Hello Fresh meal delivery for a couple weeks--at least I get a variety of dishes and I really like that you get everything you need (still need to buy produce). It's a little under $40/week and since I'm single--I get 6 meals out of it.  It does require me to do a lot more in the kitchen than I am used to!  I usually throw everything into a crock pot and boom--done.

Hope you all have a good day!

@DrKelli, I love those food delivery services...Hello Fresh, Blue Apron and two more that I can't recall the name of right now.  Really great for exploring new spices and food combinations that you might not normally try.

Two problems that bugged me....too much food prep dicing and slicing and then you have to remember ti let them know when you don't want the next week.  I loved most of the meals and don't recall one that I'd consider uneatable.  It's been about a year since I used one now.

Re: Welcome to the October Exercise Thread

@Mmsfoxxie, it does have a LOT of prep time.    The first week, I only cooked one of the 3 that I got--I saved the other two for the weekend.  Which is what I'm going to do this week, then I have all my food cooked for the following week.

Re: Welcome to the October Exercise Thread

@DrKelli  I just did that this weekend.  My refrigerator is filled with diced cucumbers, pumpkin bread, sweet potato fries, tilapia, kale chips, beans, etc.  I've been grabbing and making meals all week long.

It really doesn't take that much time when you do it on an off day.

Re: Welcome to the October Exercise Thread

Hi Everyone!  Last night I decided to do a 30 minute DVD on stretching.  Felt pretty good but boy am I tight!  ACK!  Not sure I felt so relaxed after but thats ok.  LOL  This morning I did 20 minutes of Pilates.  Still taking it easy, feet are still hurting but as we all say - some movement is better than no movement!  Just have to remember to keep most of my movement on the floor!

Re: Welcome to the October Exercise Thread

Good morning everyone.

@JudyL, sounds like just the right type of exercise for you right now.  No rush, right?

I’m going to do a light workout in my bedroom this morning.  This is my afternoon to volunteer and if it’s like last week, I’ll be doing a lots of walking in the area of my desk to keep from just sitting.  They give you a $4 stipend for food and that’s enough to my an angus burger which was pretty good last week.  If you don’t use it, you lose it...it can’t carryover to another day.

Enjoy your day everyone.
