Re: Welcome to the October Exercise Thread

@Mmsfoxxie  I just said the same thing about not having insurance in another thread.  It's criminal that they take your money and don't give it back when you need it. It's amazing it's legal.  If you've paid that much in at any time you should be able to get it back in benefits at any time.

Well, I can't believe how sore my abs still are from doing 20 second bursts of different exercises for 25 minutes.  I may try this at home.

My mom has her doctor appointment this morning.  Hoping it's nothing but natural aging or something that can be fixed ASAP if it is something.

Everyone have a good Friday!   Hopefully I'll be walking in the woods grateful later tonight after work.

Re: Welcome to the October Exercise Thread

Foxxie, so sorry you need scaling and that the insurance won't cover it yet. I can understand why you want to wait to get the work done.

Another thing I don't like about dental insurance is that often the coverage limits are low....many provide only $1000-1500 in benefits per year.

It looks like next year I might need some work, so am considering buying a dental discount plan my dentist accepts. It's less expensive than insurance, it cuts the fees by 50%, and it has n o coverage limits.

I have a busy day ahead. Gotta get going!

Happy Friday to all.

Re: Welcome to the October Exercise Thread

Happy Friday, I just can not belive how nice it is outside 70 and sunny and the leaves are glorious!   I walked a ski trail with my gf this morning, about 3.5 miles and we gabbed the whole time.  It was so pretty.  It was in the 40's when we went.

Laura much good luck to your mom and praying it is indeed nothing. Please let us know.  I hope you can have some nice visiting with her while she stays with you.

Nomless and foxxie all this dental taking is giving me anxiety  Hahaha....I Loath the Dentist!

Hubby is on his way home, grilling some salmon filets....I'm starving now.  I had a snack of 1 oz of peanuts with a few dark chocolate chips and a few dried cherries.  It was pretty good.

I wish it was lighter longer at night but oh well and soon we change the clocks once again.  Baseball tonight!

Peace out!

Re: Welcome to the October Exercise Thread

Hey everyone, Saturday is beautiful here...taking full advantage before rain starts and temps drop.   We have so many leaves, and to think we've already raked once and you can't even tell.  It sure is a golden paradise though out my living room window.  I've been scrubbing floors and while they dried I walked Logan on the trail.  It's so pretty, I know I talk about it all the time but it's just my favorite time of year!  Hubby is working but when he gets here at noon we are hiking to a waterfall, just have to decide where we want to go.   Then baseball tonight, what a game last night!  Love watching and will miss it when it's done until Spring but we have football to watch.

Hoping everyone has a wonderful weekend and does something fun!  Byeeeeeee

Re: Welcome to the October Exercise Thread

Good morning all.  Really cloudy this morning.  Rain is on the way.

Boy did I have a great afternoon yesterday at one of my Red Hatter events.  This one was called a tea.  Anyway, the ladies were all nice and unfortunately, the food was super delicious!  Usually, it's bland chicken, beef, potatoes, etc.  This one had those foods but were delicious as well as a delicious broccoli soup and dessert.  A five course meal.  And the salad did not have iceberg lettuce, it was arugula, I believe.  One glass of wine was included!  There was a singer, too.  And boy did we dance after dinner so I got my exercise in afterall.  My feet was hurting today though because I didn't wear dancing shoes, three inch heels.

Back to reality this morning though getting my weigh in at WW.  Time to face the music, lol.

Have a beautiful day ladies!

Re: Welcome to the October Exercise Thread

Happy Sunday Funday!   It's my 40th wedding Anniversary!  So blessed things turned out as they did after the last couple of months!  Not sure what's on the agenda, after all these nice days it's supposed to rain most of today.   May go to some antique shops and to see a waterfall but nothing is in stone.

Foxxie how fun!   It sounds like an amazing day!  You sure did get your exercise in.

Enjoy your day everyone!   Congratulations to the Houston Astro's advancing to the World Series!

Re: Welcome to the October Exercise Thread

Foxxie, what a great time you had. It sounds like a fun group.

Bopper, congratulations! 😁 You and DH will enjoy your special day.

It's gotten warm again here, too. A.C. is back on...crazy. Friday I was admiring 5 trees across the street that were filled brilliant gold leaves. Yesterday the were completely bare. ☹ Friday night we had wind, and it stripped the beautiful leaves away.

I was worried about one of my cats for w few days, he was acting oddly, very withdrawn. Last night he seemed to be better, and today, too. I don't know if he didn't feel well or if he was mad at me for leaving him to go to work. I wish they could tell us what's wrong.

Happy Sunday, everyone.

Re: Welcome to the October Exercise Thread

Good morning dear group!  Boy oh boy.....it's been raining almost nonstop since yesterday afternoon and is expected to continue til this afternoon.  It's not torrential but it's at a good pace.

@nomless, I hope your cat continues to get better.  It's sad when something you love, animal or human, is not right.

I have a funeral to go to this morning, rain or not.  The mother of a friend.  It's not close by but I feel that I have to go.  She was 98 and lived a beautiful life and was able to affor good care for her later years.

Do something fun today that just makes you happy!
