Re: Welcome to the July Exercise Thread

Hi, walked 4 miles today and then we went to camp for the rest of today .   It was very windy but it kept the bugs at bay.   Went in the lake and just relaxed.

Nomless I don't see that view in ??   that you said.

I am praying you get a job.   Good work on the exercise too.

Our day trip was fun, long and lots of riding and sitting but when you don't get to do it very often I think I can take 1 day of sitting .

Not much else here, have a good evening.

Re: Welcome to the July Exercise Thread

Hi,  nice cool day here and a fresh breeze coming in the windows.

This morning I did my X bike for an hour and then walked 2 miles to the golf course and back.

Just put my son on his plane to go back to work, hard to say goodbye but it is what it is.

Pretty quiet here, but I too have not much else to say either....

Have a great rest of your day!

Re: Welcome to the July Exercise Thread

Hi, Bopper.  Glad you had fun at the lake and that DS was home.  About how to see the whole thread when you're posting:  click "reply" in the last message of the thread  to open the window to type your message in.  Now look below the typing box, on the left side for "view discussion in a popup.". When you click that, the thread will open in a new window. Do you the the "reply" that's at the top of the thread?   I haven't used that one.  Maybe the the "thread" option isn't displayed when you do that.

I did the bike yesterday and today. I'm tired so I'm doing easy sessions, but I'm doing it every day, so that's good.  I hope I can start sleeping better soon so I'm not so tired.  I'm busy putting out feelers for a job.  Thanks for your good wishes.

Hi to Patty and Tony and Skylark and Cater.  I don't have any critter stories.  Miss seeing the duck and birds at work but trust they're all OK.

Re: Welcome to the July Exercise Thread

HI everyone.  It's been a nice day here, too, Bopper.  70's and breezy. I babysat  with my nephew's 2 little girls today.  They do keep me hopping. One is almost 2 and the other is almost 4. Fun,though.

Bopper, you mentioned the x bike..did they sell that on the Q?  I have a Gazelle I should drag out again.

Our son and granddaughter are coming for a visit tomorrow, she's 9,they live at the opposite end of the state (IL) from us..360 miles.  Don't get to see them often enough.  So we're excited.

Nomless, waiting for good news.

Re: Welcome to the July Exercise Thread

Hi all, I had to get groceries today and run a couple other errands.  Then came home put it all away.  It's 77 here now but was 56 when I left the house this morning.  I rode my X bike again.  Skylark that is from HSN, it's by Proform and I have only had it less than a week.  I rode 45 miles on it today while watching baseball on TV.   I often get on for 5 miles every hour just to keep moving all day.   Also walked 2x with Logan.

Nomless I clicked on the view discussion in popup and the other boxes came up but when I wanted to type I still had to click reply from the last post and then all the other replies are gone except the last one.  What am I doing wrong?

Patty hi and waving to you and Lucy.   Hoping it's not too hot there and you and Lucy are having fun on your runs and bike.

Tony hi and waving to you as well.

Have a good one!

Bopper, I'm happy to know you like the X bike.  Do you think it gives a good workout?   It looked like range of motion is relatively small.  You did 45 miles in one day?  That's fantastic.  It rivals Patty!

When you click view discussion, the thread opens in  new tab so you have to switch between them....type a little, switch to the other window and read a liitle, go back to typing, and so on.

Hi, Skylark, I hope you're having fun with your DGD today.

I couldn't sleep last night, so tired today.  I've been doing paper work and making phone calls, but I did get in 30 min on the bike.

Re: Welcome to the July Exercise Thread

Hi, warm and muggy and buggy here today and for the remainder of the week.

Today I walked 5 miles before it got hot and then I've ridden the X bike on and off all day and I rode so long the daily timer started over!  Hahha.   Nomless I"ll never rival Patty.   We all know the computers on machines aren't accurate.   I'd love to be able to ride my outside bike that far.  Patty can but I can't...Tailbone would really kill me, but thank you non the less.

We have a wedding on Saturday about 45 miles away so we're going to that.    They said super casual so not sure what to wear.   It's at a log house on the lake.

Nomless I guess I don't know what you mean by range of motion.   You are pedaling and it has a magnetic flywheel .   It's so smooth and I really like it.

Almost bedtime!

Re: Welcome to the July Exercise Thread

Bopper, have fun at the wedding tomorrow at the lake.

I was running around much of the day yesterday so I didn't get a workout in.  I did 30 min on the bike this morning, then I was driven away by moaners and groaners....guys doing weights.  I don't like listening to them.  I might go back later for another 30 min.    I keep hunting for a time when the workout room is empty, as I prefer to be there by myself.

I have new health insurance set up, and I'm pretty sure I have a part time job starting after Labor Day, which is what I want.  It's not formalized yet, but I'm pretty sure it will happen.  So far, things seem to be working out ok.  Whew!

Re: Welcome to the July Exercise Thread

Oh, one more thing...Bopper, by range of motion I mean it looks like the circle the X bike pedals make is small.   Can you get it to go fast enough to get HR up?   Does it have resistance to increase the effort?  In short, do you think it's an effective workout?

Re: Welcome to the July Exercise Thread

This afternoon I did 30 more min on the bike.  There were other people there.  Dang.  I hope I can find a time when it's empty.
