Re: Welcome to the July Exercise Thread

Hi, Bopoer.  Glad you enjoyed your evening on the bike.  I did only a half hour today.  Was waiting for something ex-employer overnighted to me, so I didn't want to leave to go to the workout room.  I have a busy day tomorrow running around to get some things arranged.  Lots on my mind!

Re: Welcome to the July Exercise Thread

Cater, you're so sweet to think of me.  Thank you.  I've been running around getting new helath insurance in place.  I think that's done, but I'll feel better when I get the confirmations and new cards that will be sent.   I'm exhausted from figuring all that out.  Next,  I'll put feelers out for jobs to previous contacts who might have jobs or who might know of others who do.   I appreciate your good wishes.

Cater, I like the way your post looks.  It's easy to read but not too big.  And, good wishes back to you.

I've been doing easy workouts - only 30 minutes tpday, but at least I showed up.

Hi to Bopper, Tony, Skylark, Patty and all our friends.  I hope your day is going well.

Nomless,I think networking is the best way to find a good job these days. You'll probably be back to work sooner than you thought and wishing you had had more time off Smiley Happy

Bopper Cater Tony  and anyone else here,I hope you have a great and active day.

Re: Welcome to the July Exercise Thread

Hi everyone!  nomless....I hope you can regroup a little this weekend, I'm sure this past week has your head spinning.

I worked out like a beast this morning...ugh.  Really....I walked with Lucy, ran by myself and did a pretty good clip, weights, rings, rock climbing(think I would enjoy this), monkey bars....pretended I was on ANW...haha!!  Yes, I'm serious...I really did think about it while I was swinging from bar to bar.  It helped me grab that last one to pretend I was in competition. Smiley LOL

I'm meeting my gf to go biking here in a little bit...supposed to be washing my van but can do that later.   It's already 93* heat index and let me tell you, I could really feel it on that last mile with the sun beating on me.

Went shopping with my gf yestserday for my birthday.  She hadn't been to the Nordie's sale yet so she wanted to check that out.  I've more than had my fill of that...yikes.  And I got a big gift card from the kids for the Q...so not sure what I'll get with that.

Glad everyone is hanging in there!!  Waving to everyone...yes, cater, you too!!

Re: Welcome to the July Exercise Thread

Hi, hot here too and humid.  It's supposed to be 87 here today and very muggy.   I'll remember this when I"m shoveling!

Yesteray and today I rode my stationary bike.   My big toe is really sore, not even sure what I did to it because I didn't do anything to it.  It isn't bruised, swollen, or anything.  It isn't an ingrown toe nail either.  Just hurts bad to put pressure on it so using the bike which I really like.   I watch TV while riding, crank up the resistance and use hand weights.

Nomless I am glad at least you have your insurance straightened out.   That's a huge deal.  I think you'll find something else also looking on the web.  Glad you have the weekend to re-group.

Skyler good job on your walks with the dogs.  It's humid everywhere seems.

Nomless I can only see 1 post other than the one I'm typing.  How do you type and see all the posts so I can scroll up and read?  I go to the Thread and hit reply and it brings me to only the last post.

Patty great job today in that heat!  Just be careful not to over do it.   I imagine working out in that type of heat really can get to you.   You hang with the best of them!

Tomorrow I won't be checking in as we are heading out on a day trip.  My sister is going to keep Logan company for us.

Have a great day!

Re: Welcome to the July Exercise Thread

Bopper and Patty, be careful in the heat. Same here, hot a d humid.

Patty, pretending you're doing ANW is cool.  You did lots of neat stuff.  I couldn't do rings or monkey bars even when was a kid, lol.

Bopper, maybe the toe box of your shoe is too tight and is pressing on your toe, making it sore.  I had a pair of shoes that did that.

And bopper, to see the thread while posting, click on "View discussion in a popup" which is u see he compose box, on the left side.

I did 30 min on the bike.   Next task will be to update my resume.  Yes, this week was crazy with lots of running around.  And, I'm not seeping well, so I'm tired.  Next week will be busy, but I hope after that, things will settle down. Thanks for thinking of me!
