Re: Welcome to the July Exercise Thread

Hello everyone,it's a nice evening here after a hot day.  I might take Angie for a mile, that's all we've been doing.  She feels the heat more than me I think.

Bopper,my bro-in-law used to live in the UP awhile ago. Crystal Falls, maybe. Falls sonething. He's been in WI for awhile now.

Nomless,I'm in the western burbs of Chicago.  It was a great place to raise kids but as I grow older a slower paced area would be nice.  It's pretty hectic around here.

I think I'll do my Gazell tonight.  I'm babysitting my little nieces tomorrow so I'll need my strength. They're sweeties but nonstop. Hope everyone has a great eve.

Re: Welcome to the July Exercise Thread

Skylark, my childhood was spent in  Elmhusrt.  Love the western burbs.  Have fun with your nieces tomorrow.

I did the bike today, harder than usual.  I thought about doing more but didn't feel like it.  I did a lot of running around today...errands.

I thought about buying the TSV sheets, but the set of MM sheets I had pilled, so I guess I won't take a chance.  Then I thought about getting the down blanket that Jill showed, the blue one with the snowmen, but I read reviews of the down blankets and many said the quality has gone down and the feathers leak out.  So, I guess I'll wait for reviews on this new one.  So sad we can no longer trust the quality of Q products.

Hi, Bopper, I hope you had a good day.

Re: Welcome to the July Exercise Thread

Hi all,  it's a bit cooler here, we're 80 but it still feels hot to me.  Yesterday was my yearly Mamo and it was fine thank goodness.   Then we headed to camp and relaxed a little bit.  Stuck my feet in the lake and sat on the dock.

Today I did my indoor X bike for 50 minutes going hard and sweating up a storm.  Just too warm and didn't want to go outside.

Nomless sure hope your handle on this new job pans out for you.  It's very stressful not knowing where your going I'm sure.

Skylark we have family in Crystal Falls so yes I know exactly where you are talking about.  Small world isn't it.   Are you walking today?

My granddaughter is spending Friday and some of Saturday with me.  She's coming at 1:30 tomorrow afternoon and I'll have her until Saturday afternoon so have to think of things do to with her.  She's so grown up now she doesn't do the kid things we used to do.  She's turning 10 in November, hard to believe.

Nomless I have 3 sets of the Polar fleece sheets and none are pilled.  We love, love, love them...don't know about the down blanket though.  I even leave the sheets on during the summer as I'm not hot in them.  I didn't need more so didn't get any.

I can't wait to put out my Fall decor.  It's my favorite time of the year.

Re: Welcome to the July Exercise Thread

Bopper, yay that your mammo was OK and that your fleece sheets didn't pill.  I'm sad that mine did.   I'll need winter sheets this year.  I haven't decided what to try next.  Have fun with DGD tomorrow and Sat.

I did the bike today, and I have to go to a pool party tonight.  Ugh, it's too hot.  I'll need to grin and bear it for a little while at least.

Patty, we haven't heard from you in awhile.  I hope things are OK there and that family, kids, and furkids are doing well. Miss you.

Re: Welcome to the July Exercise Thread

Hi Everyone,

I just got caught up on posts. nomless, I am so glad for you. Hopefully, you will find some new animals friends! And of course you and bopper have kept up work- outs. Wish I had that determination.

Bopper- you have been busy with the camp and GD. And as I just told nomless, you guys stay with it so well. Yes, I have been watching Kyle- he is on a tear!

Cater- you've been busy, too!

Good for all of you!

The hot muggy weather has been here. It should be over tomorrow. It really doesn't bother me.

i have been busy with little stuff and a couple of extra days at work covering for vacations. Because there are so many of us and we have set staffing numbers, we only get one week in the summer so people usually want to extend or start early, some don't even get a full week- we all pitch in and switch or work for people. We are a good crew and get along nicely.

I just wanted to check in and say Hi- especially since the Internet seems to be working!

No major workouts to report, very erratic. I have been able to get some walks in, too.

Stay cool!

Re: Welcome to the July Exercise Thread

HI, Tony.  Thanks for you good wishes.  Yes, I've  been showing up for workouts, but taking it a bit too easy, I think. It's so great you and the others at work pitch in when needed.  It's so important to like the people you work with.  It makes the days so much nicer than they would be otherwise.

Re: Welcome to the July Exercise Thread

Bopper, I ended up buying a set of Malden Mill sheets.  I can't find a better alternative.  I looked online at many flannel and fleece sheets and pilling and shedding was reported for all of them. So I guess it's worth giving MM another try.  Maybe I'll have better luck this time.  At least they're inexpensive compared to prices of alternatives.
