Just a quick note. I lost my job today. Not because of performance issues - they closed the company and all employees are out of work! Yikes. I didn't see that coming. I'm trying not to panic.
I did elliptical and bike tonight.
Enjoyed ANW. Only one person completed the course. It was tough.
Skylark, you have sweet furkids. Glad one if them can go walking with you. Are they friends? Do they get along well?

nomless what a shock to have to experience without any notice. I am so sorry to read that this is what happened to you. Bet you have no idea which way to turn and what to do right now. My sister always say " don't worry when one door closes another one opens" wasier for those words to come out of someones mouth then have to live through them. i sure hope that tomorrow someone offers you a better job and more money to go with it. Will say some prayers for you. Will be thinking about you.

Nomless, you must be kind of shell shocked after today. I hope they're going to give you all some severance and insurance for awhile. Insurance is the big worry usually. I hope you find something better soon.
How thoughtful to be asking about me today. The dogs get along great as long as Daisy gets to be boss.

Skylark and Cater, thanks for your kind words. Shell-shocked and don't know which way to turn...yep, that's just about how I feel. With vacation and severance, I'll have a paycheck through October, so that's a relief. I don't need to panic. Health insurance runs out this month, though, so this morning I scrambled to get enrollment in new insurance started. Have already started nerworking to let people know I'm available for work. There's not much more I can do right now.
As much as I wanted a vacation, suddenly having time on my hands is making me crazy because the future is unknown. I know it will all work out ok, I just don't know how yet. I find uncertainty to be very uncomfortable. I'm adrift, and I don't like being so. I couldn't sleep last night even though I know there's no reason to panic.
I'm off to do a workout. Maybe that will help get rid of some nervous energy.
I have a friend who keeps congratulating me. She knows I didn't like the job and she thinks I should consider myself retired now and enjoy it, lol. I don't know if I'm ready for that!
Many thanks to you both.

Hi all, nomless I am shocked to read you lost your job just like that! It's terrible and to not have a warning or anything. I will certainly keep you in my prayers...I too believe something better is in store for you..you must keep your faith and believe too. We're all here pulling for you,,
I did 30 minutes on my TG this morning in a humid basement and then a 2 miles Leslie walk inside. Now the sun came out and I went another 2 miles to the golf course and back. The Buffalo are all laying down in the sunshine.
Skylark good to see you here again. It's so nice you can walk with your babies...Logan is really bad on a leash and he's almost 5 and he still walks like he is pulling a plow...so not enjoyable. I usually take him to a trail by my house and let him get some energy out.
Cater hi, how are you doing and your babies. Are you doing anything new exercise wise?
Tony hi and waving. I"m watching the All Star game tonight, are you?
Patty I heard it was a bit cooler for you so i hope it continues and the rain stops. Lots of flooding pictures on the news. How is Lucy doing?
Waving to all

Oh my word nomless, I'm so sorry!!! bopper told me about it, I was shocked! I can't even imagine how shocked 'you' are. Sounds like you're pretty set for a while though but I know what you mean about the feeling of living so "up in the air"....we live like that a lot. Now knowing where I'll be living, etc...it just isn't fun after a certain age.
We're doing okay, took the animals a few days to adjust, it wasn't easy for them. Lucy still has trouble at night.
Some of my gf's threw me a Birthday luncheon yesterday, we had a blast. It was really a special day. A husband of one of the ladies there, baked me a delicious cake, it was so sweet.
Walked 10 with my gf this morning, ran 2 with Lucy before I met her, then I did the stairs and hills there(UGH) and jogged until she got there. Those hills are a beast, so steep...my hammies were screaming! ![]()
Well, I am so upset to hear this news nomless. Just take some time to regroup, you go the healthcare taken care of...that's the most important.
Waving to everyone else! Hi skylark, welcome!

Bopper thank you, I appreciate your prayers.
I did 40 min on bike, just wasn't into doing the elliptical today. Maybe I'll call a Crossfit club and see if they have a senior class. Would like to observe.

Hello everyone.. I walked with Angie 2 miles and cut my front grass. So that was a pretty good work out. I like to push that mower, it's an arm and leg workout and instant gratification that the lawn looks so good.
Nomless, I don't know if this helps but my daughter lost her job unexpectedly last April after almost 20 years. She was vice president of sales at her company. But she found another job VERY quickly and for more money. So it seems the job market is alot better these days. I'm keeping you in my good thoughts.
I hope you all have a nice quiet evening. It's a beautiful one here in the Chicago area warm and breezy (after a bad hail storm last night).

Patty, I just saw your message. Thanks so much. I appreciate your commiseration, good thoughts and prayers. I hope you and your flock are doing OK. And...happy birthday!
Tony, thanks to you too. Yay that the snow is melted!
Skylark, glad your grass looks pretty after your mowing. I hope it wasn't too hot like it is here. Thanks also for your encouragement. It's so great your daughter landed on her feet. And, yes, thank goodness the job market is better than a few years ago. There's lots to be thankful for.
