I use Ultimate Flora. But, I use the one for vaginal care. I've heard that Raw Probiotics brand is good too. Both of these are the refrigerated kind. Digestive Advantage also has good reviews. I don't have IBS, but I would look for a brand that has a variety of cultures for digestive benefits. Lactobacillus acidophilus is an important one for digestion.

Here's a good article from WebMD:

Here is the label from Ulimate Flora Critical Care: You can go on their website at this address:

dex, I have no answer for you, but am reading the answers and hoping others chime in.

I have a FM in the hospital on IV super antibiotics right now and would like to have a good probiotic for him once he's out. I go to Whole Foods and am confused by the offerings, so usually just buy the liquid refrigerated ones that I've gotten for decades.

I suffer from IBS and before I started taking probiotics I had the most horrible symptoms especially around that time of the month. Even drinking water was painful. I have a friend at work who told me about probiotics and was told the best kind to get is the kind you have to keep refrigerated. I have been using Floragen3 for years now and it is better than any medication I was given by a doctor. I never skip a day and could not live without it. There are a bunch others to choose from- some more/less expensive but this was the first one I tried and it worked like magic for me so I never tried another. I have never had the intense pains again since I've been using it.

Drugstore.com has a sale on this line at the moment. I'm thinking of getting the 60 count vaginal care myself.

Thanks DG for the recommendation!

I use Florastor. It doesn't need to be refrigerated and I can get mine at Costco online.

I use Garden of Life probiotics. They do have to be refrigerated.
