I'm thinking why not just get a pedometer to track my steps?  I don't really care about my sleep being tracked and there are plenty of free apps to track calories, etc.

@LipstickdivaA pedometer would work fine.  My daughter, one granddaughter and a couple of friends enjoy doing challenges.  I do better when people are seeing what I am doing.  LOL

I really love this HR2 other than for counting steps.  That doesn't even make sense.  LOL

Re: Fitbit Charge 2-problems???

I used a basic pedometer when I first started getting involved in fitness.  It was fine..it counted my steps when I had it on.

A Fitbit type device does a lot more,   If you don't care about those extras...go ahead and wear a pedometer.

And for me...I don't use it to track my sleep, which seems to be a major selling point.  I sleep just fine, so this isn't important to me.

I do use it to track trends in my activity level and with 4 plus years of data...I can do that.  I also have the  Aria scale that is a Fitbit linked device.  I can clearly see how my weight starts to inch up when my activity level drops.  And then I know I need to get back on track.
