Once you buy something from a company, it is no longer 'your dime.'  It is the company's dime.  LOL.

I wish David Markstein well.  He did a stint on HSN after leaving the Q and then I thought he was somewhere else, like JTV or something like that?

One thing that did catch my eye is that the wire wrapped bracelets that the Q was selling on Creede Silver day were the exact same ones that Lisa sold several months ago.  I bought the white wrapped in yellow gold from her.  The Q sold theirs for just under $20 each and I know that hers cost me more than that.  I looked and she no longer has them listed.

I also have to say that I have bought several pieces from LR - mostly earrings - and they are all holding up very well

Interesting indeed! Lisa takes all of Q's previous employers. I just knew there had to be a reason David showed up for haystacks at Lisa's house the other night and just happened to make an appearance on the impromptu cooking chat Lol! All her motives are so calculated.

David is probably at this point just looking for something to keep himself busy as he's spent most of his career at Q. I'm sure he's not looking to retire with Lisa's company. Lisa's jewelry has not received stellar reviews across the board. Her business sure has it's issues. Pieces tarnishing quickly and home decor items being grossly overpriced for the quality received. I've read all about these things on a private FB group devoted to all LR.

Lisa needs David and not the other way around. And I'm sure her prices are going to go up even more now because she's having to pay yet another employee.

DOn't understand.  obviously not a Lisa fan which is fine. But then you participate in a "private" FB group devoted to Lisa.  I am sure there is some logic there although it does escape me.

@KathyPet....you make a great point.  Puzzling isn't it?

Why shouldn't she participate? After all, it seems that is the only place where one can read  reviews of merchandise, and what  issues there may be. You can't say a single thing on Lisa's page, so how else  you to know what is going on with customer satisfaction?

Many people just do not understand how FB can work. Sometimes, when you can't get anywhere with a company's customer service, you use FB as a method of reaching out with questions and complaints. They, of course, do not want that on their public page, so you are sure to get quicker answers, experiences and opinions by going to a private page.  It's just the way it is and a common method of getting results faster.

Lisa does not understand this, but if her company grows, she will surely have to get with the times.

ONLY if people are actually buying Lisa's items and want feedback.  Which we all know is not why some people go over there to that particular area.  Just so you know.

Wow, I didn't know David worked at HSN at one time.  I'm glad you like your purchase.  I didn't watch the Silver Creede show at the Q and don't buy jewelry from Lisa as I have way too much from years past.  But, her home decor is beautiful.  Some of it I have to pass on because it's way too expensive, but alot of her items, I have enjoyed and will only spend when I think the price is reasonable.

@shell garden, not necessarily true. Maybe folks who are THINKING ABOUT buying go over to check before they hand over their hard earned money.

It's okay for people to be curious, especially they can't get a real feel for the business and products anywhere else on the interent.

Not sure what "advice" those kids at the university actually took away from Lisa's speech but the entire thing was odd. Seemed like it was just yet another platform for lisa to express her thoughts on how great she thinks she is and to bash Q. But furthermore as to your point regarding "she worked nearly 20 hours a day at Q it's a no wonder she left". It always makes me laugh when people are appalled at this statement. Isn't Lisa working just as much NOW with her own business as she was at Qvc?? Lol! I would say she's working even more hours today than ever before!! Now Lisa is buyer, model, production, photographer, host etc. The list is endless of all she has to do with her own company than working for QVC. But I've noticed Lisa just likes to use that line (working 20+ hrs a day) for the public because it pulls at the heartstrings of many and gives a "believable" excuse of why she no longer works there. But even still, 20+ hours a day seems like such a stretch. Let's not forget, it's been made public Lisa also said she would hide out in her home and afraid to go out because of her stalker. And we all deduced that line simply was not true either. It certainly is not true today if it was ever. Anyone who ever had those issues with a stalker would never be so forthright with all the info she posts on FB of her whereabouts.

I never cared for the jewelry David brought in for QVC, the styles were always the same, no variety.  And he always seemed to begging for a pat on the back for bringing us bronze/resin pieces (at high prices I might add)..... I preferred Peyton and learned a lot from him and was sorry to see when he departed from QVC................

During that live David intro someone posted he was going to have to prove himself as trustworthy. Something to do with him pushing Bronzo (think it was bronzo) jewelry while at QVC and how he was not responsive to complaints about it tarnishing and other issues with it. It appears that comment didn't stay on there for long. Just for the heck of it very early this morning I scrolled through all the comments that were made during that chat looking for it as I wanted to read it again....over 700 comments I think it was (yes, I have a rather boring life) and cannot find it. As I said earlier, you MAY NOT say anything negative at all. Even when she posts photos of the leftovers on her dinner plate (yes she has, more than once), her tribe tells her how wonderful it looks, how delicious it must have been! We should all be so lucky to have such adoration in our lives. No doubt she's working hard and seeming to enjoy it so more power to her.

Lisa's FB page isn't private. Anyone can go to her FB and see what she is doing.  She probably should make it private though.  A lot of creepy men follow her.

I don't know what the point of the speech even was. It didn't appear to me that much of it was taped and posted.  I saw very little of it but what I did watch seemed like very long winded answers that often went off on a tangent.

As for her work hours, I don't know how many hours she works now and I don't really care.  I will say that working 20 hours at a business you own is a lot different then devoting 20 hours a day to an employer.  She isn't required to put in those hours now where she was required to before.  Even if it was just phone calls she had to take, when your time isn't your own, it stinks.

@shell garden, ITA.  Why anyone would even want to buy or think about buying from someone they have such dislike for, I don't get.

No offense to anyone but I'd like to read all these bad reviews for myself and not just go by what is being posted here.

There have been some untruths posted about LR on this board in an attempt to make her look bad or try and have a "gotcha" moment.
