When Lisa mentioned last week that David Markstein was in her kitchen to watch her make the Haystack meal- I had a feeling there would be an anniuncement sooner or later...lol....interesting get on her part ...And she also mentioned they will be going back to Italy in 2 weeks. Didn't Lisa, Albany, and Katie just get back last week?

They sure did did just get back from Italy a couple of weeks ago. And off they go again next week. It's interesting all this traveling she's doing on the tribe's dime.

@iTalia,  Lisa admitted that the one thing she missed the most from her “former job” was attending the jewelry shows in Italy and how when she finally got back there for the Tribe, she nearly “cried”. Clearly, she has not only found a way to travel via write-offs  but also purchase  jewelry at wholesale prices (hmmm...some perhaps for her own personal collection?) All the while, passing along these expenses to her Tribe.

Lisa likes to emphasize how she tweaks items to make them her own personal designs and stated this again with David. Oddly though, a while back, when asked about  a watch she “designed”  she could not remember  if the watch face was black or blue. Huh. If she is that  invested, wouldn’t she remember? Just another sales tactic/song and dance that blows over the Tribe’s collective heads.

@Sheilaray, I agree! Lisa has said so many contradictory questionable things throughout this business venture of hers that it really makes you wonder what is real and what is not. Most of the tribe doesn't even pick up on anything because they are just so enamoured by all she does and want to be just like her. And why can't she ever say QVC (instead of her former job) when all of her customers  are from Q anyway. It's so silly. She sounds extremely bitter about her departure whenever she speaks of Q. It really tells a lot!

@hopi Yes!  That locket in rose gold is gorgeous!

My hold up in purchasing has been the color could not decide between rose or gold. This is the factory that only does all gold but made it especially for her.  It is not her latest presenation, this is the one I want. Opening lockets are trending and of course Lisa is ahead of it just so classic and modern and love the perfect chain with it.

@hopi ITA the chain is perfect, but again that's Lisa.  Very fresh, yet looks very Euro vintage inspired.

Interesting indeed! Lisa takes all of Q's previous employers. I just knew there had to be a reason David showed up for haystacks at Lisa's house the other night and just happened to make an appearance on the impromptu cooking chat Lol! All her motives are so calculated.

David is probably at this point just looking for something to keep himself busy as he's spent most of his career at Q. I'm sure he's not looking to retire with Lisa's company. Lisa's jewelry has not received stellar reviews across the board. Her business sure has it's issues. Pieces tarnishing quickly and home decor items being grossly overpriced for the quality received. I've read all about these things on a private FB group devoted to all LR.

Lisa needs David and not the other way around. And I'm sure her prices are going to go up even more now because she's having to pay yet another employee.

DOn't understand.  obviously not a Lisa fan which is fine. But then you participate in a "private" FB group devoted to Lisa.  I am sure there is some logic there although it does escape me.

Here we go again!!  Another Lisa bashing bunch of jelous people!!!  I am part of her tribe because she is a wonderful human being who is trying to make a living.  She made plenty of money for QVC and now she owns a business.  Is that foreign to some of you people???  Does it not upset you that the jewelry people on QVC travel to Italy on your dime!!  I dare say that my master degree brain is in great working order thank you!!!  Seems to me these forums and blogs are just excuses to bash people!!!

@Nadine O you are exactly right.  Every business does something on their customer's dime.

One thing is for sure. You have to be very careful what you post on her facebook. Say one slightly negative thing and BOOM you are banned from posting on it. She's been asked several times to give a figure on how much of her tribe's money was given to charities when she did a fundraiser promising to give a portion of the net proceeds of what her tribe bought over a period of time, 24 or 48 hours, I forget, to 2 charities after the Texas hurricane. When she gave a vague answer, something along the lines of "a nice amount and we added some of our own" I questioned why those who bought pieces of her stuff specifically so they could take part in giving, could not get an answer from her as to the amount. I suggested to one woman who asked that maybe next time she wanted to give to a charity she should give directly so she'd know how much of her money actually went to the charity. Next thing I know both of our comments disappeared and now I can read the page but am banned from posting. And from another board I read I know I'm not the only one who questioned her about it that has been banned. Same thing happened earlier with another charity she supposedly gave a portion of the sales to. She would not tell her tribe the figure as to how much of their money she ended of giving them, she kept avoiding it when asked.
