Your Strangest Breakfast Food.

I am having leftover shrimp lo mein from last night. I normally don't eat this early but I opened the fridge and the lo mein called my name.

I figure if shrimp and grits can be eaten for breakfast why not shrimp and noodles.

Are you strictly a cereal, eggs, toast person or a leftover pizza, last night's dinner kind of breakfast eater?

I've eaten leftover Chinese food for breakfast, chicken parm, cold pizza.

My breakfast-- for the longest time-- included jalapeno dill pickles, sometimes up to five.

I gave them up for Lent a few years ago and haven't had them since.

Got that monkey off my back.

I simply cannot even think about shrimp for breakfast, yikes!   I am definatley a cereal, toast and eggs girl for sure and I don't even eat that until closer to lunch time.  I start with a small cup of yogurt, have my coffee, then later some fruit then on to breakfast, which I gather is more like breakfast for lunch!   DH, however can eat ANYTHING early in the day and I cannot stand the smell of it sometimes Smiley Sad  yuck.

Re: Your Strangest Breakfast Food.

As a very young child I figured out that my stomach has no idea what time of day it is only if it wants food or not.  So, whatever appeals at any given hour is my breakfast, lunch or dinner.

In my world, any food can be eaten at any time and for any meal.

Re: Your Strangest Breakfast Food.

At one time, i would have eaten cold pizza or chocolate cake for breakfast but not anymore.  Nowadays, in addition to changing what we eat, I am on an intermittent fast schedule where I'm only drinking coffee or tea with MCT oil and a little stevia (no cream) at breakfast time. I wait to eat until noon or so.

I am not much of a breakfast eater.  I normally have cereal or cottage cheese and a piece of whole wheat toast.  On rare occasions I will have leftovers for breakfast if they particularly appeal to me.

This past winter I made beef stew that was so good and I had so much of it that I did have a small bowl for breakfast.  Same thing for the crockpot split pea with ham soup--delish!  I wish I had some now.

When I was a kid my big brother would eat leftover pasta cold for breakfast or even cold pizza.  Not me.

Shrimp & grits, salmon & grits, fish & grits all are normal for me. I live on the coast so fresh seafood is always available. Daddy was a fresh water fisherman, originally from PA, so it was normal to have bream. One of my favorite breakfasts is cold leftover pizza but I've also had leftover fish tacos. I eat whatever I am hungry for...or whatever the TV ads remind me I'm hungry for Smiley Happy
