@GingerHead- Brilliant comments! Sticks of butter...wow, that's frightening.
Well thanks (nothing about me has ever been described as brilliant, but I'll take it! haha)
and yes, he eats sticks of butter, the fattiest cuts of meat and no fiber and doesn't have the resources to get medical testing.
His cholesterol and LDL must be off the charts high, very scary.
That's why these claims get to me because they aren't just innocuous statements. Real people read them and could be harmed, in my opinion....

@Susan Louise I haven't seen an answer to my question, "What do you eat for a No fiber diet?"
I really would like to know; I have a fiber problem! Thanks!

@Zhills - I don't think she's going to reply. FYI, carnivores believe fiber is unnecessary. They don't eat anything with fiber.

@JeanLouiseFinch Do you know how difficult that is to do? I was on a "no fiber" diet for 4 months....terrible!
I couldn't have any fruits or vegetables! Meat and eggs and some cheese and plain yogurt only!
Not much of a "diet" if you ask me! Just meat gets old quickly!

Personally, @Zhills, no, I don't know. But when someone believes and is committed to a carnivore lifestyle, I imagine it becomes easy for them after the initial transition period. I think it's probably easier for someone who doesn't really care for fruits and veggies in the first place.

Shopping for "no fiber" is simple! Meat, eggs, dairy!

I was ADDICTED to the coffee creamers after using for about 45 yrs!
Wow. Well, I learned something new today.
In my entire life, I've never heard of ANYONE claiming to be addicted to coffee creamers.
@Tinkrbl44 I'm sure many on the forums can recall me mentioning this several times (to ad nauseam for some). I'm surprised you missed ALL of my posting about it in many threads over the past several years.
For those that use coffee creamers, I wonder how many actually read the ingredient labels. I know I never bothered until the day DH was diagnosed as a type 2 diabetic in 2018. That was the day we cleared out our pantry/freezer & fridge. I had to keep a couple types of products because I had to wean myself from them. I was unable to go cold turkey.
Oatmeal was the other one for me. I used to love having a bowl of oatmeal for breakfast a few times a week with walnuts, craisins and brown sugar (toward the end I was using brown sugar Truvia - but still gave me the HUGE blood sugar spike!). That bowl of oatmeal was NOTHING but sugar...
Oatmeal = sugar
Crasins = sugar
Walnuts = sugar
Sugar or Truvia = sugar
It was a painful fact I had to face.
I haven't had either for several years now. I didn't think I could give them up...until I did.
It was not easy going from using coffee creamers to drinking black coffee. I had a LONG weaning process. On the other hand, I was able to stop smoking cold turkey and I smoked from the time I was 11 til I was 44.
To me, sugar/carb addiction is so much harder to get rid of compared to smoking.
I read all the time online, watch videos of literally countless folks who can't stop having their carbs/sugars.
It is nothing less than a huge accomplishment when anyone can stop their 'DOC' - 'drug of choice'. Certainly nothing to joke about.
Sorry to break it to you but protein turns into sugar IN THE ABSENCE OF Carbohydrates. You have been punked by the carnivore gurus @Susan Louise . It's called
gluconeogenesis. That's why having a lack of a scientific background ends up making you an easy mark for these con artist YouTube health influencers.
You are setting yourself up for heart disease, digestive disorders and cancer. Maybe not today but you will sadly come to realize the damage has been done and it will soon be too late.
Any dietary measures that are extreme are disordered eating. Your addiction to sugar can easily be solved by avoiding refined carbohydrates. No need to become a carnivore.

@ID2 wrote:I totally agree with the OP. Its takes us such a long time to grocery shop! Gotta read, read, read the labels. There are so many unnecessary things in everything. What really helps me in choosing things at the grocery store is the Yuka app. Helps so much for targeting bad foods and then suggests an alternative. And I totally disagree that its expensive to eat healthy. Cut out all the fluff foods and you're saving so much money. We eat pretty basic. No carbs, no starch but lots of protein, fruits, veges only bought at our local Amish stores. Can't get any better!
Fruit is a carbohydrate @ID2, full of fruit sugar . It contains fructose, glucose and sucrose.
You claim to be a Type 1 diabetic. How can you adjust your insulin injections if you don't know that?🙄
