@spabar Nope she preaches and talks down to everyone but always ignores that question. Maybe thats why she was evasive this time about what exactly she eats...since it is such a dangerous diet. Anything that extreme is not healthy! Stop telling people to eat dangerously, eat what you want but stop your preaching!

@spumoni99 - I disagree that it's an unhealthy or a dangerous way to eat. There are many people who do it long term and are quite healthy. There are reasons some doctors even recommend. We all all have our own insights and beliefs whether we accept or reject information that's available to us. My own research has convinced me to make the food choices I do, and I'm comfortable with them. I've even thought about trying carnivore but I always talk myself out of it. My problem is with her attitude toward others in this area.

I think it is quite unhealthy, but I won't get into it (I could write a lot here).
But, I do agree that we should all do what is best for us and only we know that.
I've dealt with the carnivore diet a lot with my brother who is in this "tribe" as well. I call it a tribe because I feel these people become sort of indoctrinated in this way of thinking that everyone else is ignorant and brainwashed and only they are enlightened and all knowing.
He watches you tube video after you tube video and has himself become brainwashed into his way of thinking.
But, I agree that this poster's attitude/delivery needs work. I think the original post reads like a commercial and sounds like a repeat of a lot of you tube videos I've watched. What's she selling?
I don't understand the purpose of posting and then leaving and ignoring inquiries. I, for example, am really interested in nutrition and this topic and have written a lot in this thread and another one (where she passively insulted people who buy organic) and was met with crickets after posting differing views. I could understand ignoring people who are rude but none of mine and some others were.
This is strange to me. If you're so passionate about a topic that you write about it over and over again why wouldn't you then follow up and answer questions and discuss it.

I totally agree with the OP. Its takes us such a long time to grocery shop! Gotta read, read, read the labels. There are so many unnecessary things in everything. What really helps me in choosing things at the grocery store is the Yuka app. Helps so much for targeting bad foods and then suggests an alternative. And I totally disagree that its expensive to eat healthy. Cut out all the fluff foods and you're saving so much money. We eat pretty basic. No carbs, no starch but lots of protein, fruits, veges only bought at our local Amish stores. Can't get any better! ![]()

@ID2 - all fruits and vegetables have carbs.

@GingerHead I totally agree. My two basic questions were never answered.

Wonder how many read the label from the fresh meat counter. Unless you're plucking those feathers off your chicken in the back yard, or slaughtering your own goat or pig, you find many cuts of meats are processed to some degree.
And what is it with this trend to label those not holding same opinions or beliefs as brainwashed? I think that's sad.

I really try to be fair and not jab low....
I don't know if you're referring to me (as well, at all) but I only used the word "brainwashed" because that was the word that the OP used and was mentioned a couple of times in this thread, otherwise I would've never picked that word.
I was just making the point that it's all subjective....you say I'm brainwashed and whose to say you aren't as well.
Kinda like you're a hypocrite, I'm a hypocrite, we're all hypocrites (we all are).....I know I can be hypocritical and "brainwashed" at times.
We're all susceptible to manipulation especially through social media which can definitely influence beliefs and behaviors, which is the case with my brother whose only source of "research" is through carnivore Youtube video after Youtube video that further reinforce his beliefs... so in his case the word kinda fits....
