I ADORE turquoise and wear it year round. However, although the Sleeping Beauty is beautiful, sometimes it looks like plastic to me when there is absolutely no matrix. Having picked up several amazing turquoise pieces in Mexico, I have grown to appreciate the interest that matrix adds.

I am in complete agreement with everything you said.

I really, REALLY wish they'd feature more green turquoise! Especially if they have to overwhelm us with turquoise!

I think it's too much also. I remember when Gem Day used to be really chock full of gorgeous pieces! And the pearls! There were so many nice things.

It's just not the same as it used to be. The prices are higher, the selection is more bland, and nothing wows me.

I agree, this has been "Turquoise Day" not really "Gem Day." And the turquoise are the same pieces over and over, many of which we've seen before. It's like it's really "Clear Out the Turquoise Inventory Day" but call it "Gem Day" so we can fool people and we don't have to charge clearance prices.

Yes the mine IS closed and now, gasp, the bucket is empty... Does this mean we finally get a break from all the Sleeping Beauty? Somehow I don't think so...

It disgusts me that they are scalping us with "the prices", the endless stories, along with the the hard sells/ quantities that they are selling...a shortage (when it's everywhere) ??? {#emotions_dlg.sneaky}{#emotions_dlg.glare}

I don't think so, either ! It's definitely R&P time and the customers are *buying* the hype-- hook, line. & sinker.....{#emotions_dlg.angry}

The bucket... don't EVEN tempt me... Bucket full would be more like it...

As someone said earlier, that must've been one BIG bucket... In fact, the grand daddy of ALL buckets!

I've thoroughly enjoyed the gem shows however the prices are SO high~! I understand the price of gold and silver, also the prices of gems being sky high, but good grief... $400 for a sterling cuff bracelet with three SB Turquoise stones? It's beautiful but ....

And I prefer turquoise with matrix in it.... where has it been today? Sleeping Beauty Turquoise is pretty but I agree with the above poster in that it looks like plastic to me. {#emotions_dlg.bored}
