Yeah I agree....it has color but they're all neutrals with very little patterns in the furnishings and accessories.  This living room is great to start with and it wouldn't take much to liven it up.  I'd swap out the rug and window treatments for something with a little more color and some pattern (but not too bold).  I'd replace the pillows again with something that had more color and a different pattern.  I'm thinking a little of spice colors would work well here....paprika, dry mustard, etc.

I really like this space, but I would do more color.......perhaps a pale teal on the walls, pillows and a darker shade for the rug and curtains. Like the arched doorway.

 

I don't care for the brown chairs, but then I don't like leather furniture.  I would change the coffee table, too.

I like the room. I think changing the throw pillows on the sofa would make a big improvement.
