I have been carrying dull white handbags in the summer since I wear true, clear colors. 

Beige or tan in a clothing palette with little brown doesn't go. 

I'm thinking of a very light gray since I wear more black than brown.

I have a couple which are bright turquoise blue and a couple which are blush pink, one butter yellow.

@ECBG I just realized that I have  been carrying the same handbag for so long I can't even remember when I got it.

It's a plum D&B crossbody.

It still looks fine.

Every now & then I think I would like a new purse, but I am so picky & this one works & looks nice, so I reckon it will go for this summer, too.

I switch between a pale blue leather satchel and a bright pink one.

i used to change out my bags often.  Since COVID, I carry a zip around wallet from Dooney.  It has a shoulder strand I wear it crossbody all year around. It is tan pebble leather.

If I need a bigger bag in the summer months, I put my Dooney into a beautiful straw tote with a  flat wide braided leather trim and handles made by Cole Haan. The straw is a sunny tan color and the leather strap and handles are a medium brown color.

I have several Cole Haan bags. I just love them.

As long as it's a crossbody, I don't really care about the color.  I need to know where everything is, i.e. credit cards, license, phone, sun glasses, extra inside pockets, etc...in other words, a designated space for everything (even the "stuff" my husband asks me to carry).  LOL

@ECBG if your color palette is clear jewel tones, be careful with plum because if it's a dusty plum, it'll look muddy against your clothes. Your wardrobe would probably better suit a clear purple.  I have a Kate Spade crossbody in a beautiful grape purple and I love to wear it with my neutral clothing items like black and grey and even navy. It looks great with denim too!

I carry a black bag year round. Stone Mountain Frisco hobo is my large bag & Stone Mountain quilted leather crossbody is my small go to...I have 3 backups of each, lol.

I've been using the same purse since 2020.  It's a carmel colored Dooney.
