I know what you mean, but I do like the pleats, which echo the pleats on the Dooney Toledo satchels that I love and still use. I'm just not a fan of this particular bag, either. There's nothing wrong with it. But there's nothing exciting about it. I suppose it's a good basic bag if you're looking for a bargain.

I spent more than $500 for my last Dooney Florentine Toscana satchel (from Dooney direct) last fall, and I love it. Too bad qvc won't offer that kind of quality in a tsv. I will pay for the good stuff.
I give up I'm throwing in the towel.
I hate to say it, but me, too. I wait to see the tsv, only to be disappointed lately. I bought five of the tsv .Brenna bags and use them all the time. I always hope for something fresh and of that quality. Oh well....
@libbyannE @Blingqueen023 There's a new florentine brenna.

I have this bag in hunter green. I love it, but I just can't get myself to stop carrying the Tuscana Satchel in expresso. It's my best dooney every!!! Thanks for posting. The Brenna is still a good looking handbag and always will be.
@Blingqueen023 hi BQ! I have the Brenna in hunter green too on your color recommendation lol
love it as well!! I saw the florentine Brenna but it's smaller though
I may order it in red but not sure until I see more pictures and maybe a review
the TSV is tempting me though

I have that bag in Florentine, and she's a beauty. I just bought the new Dooney that is the Brenna in the croco leather, I bought it in the red color. I haven't received it yet, but I know I'll love it because I have many other Brenna styles and colors. Thus saying, I will not be buying the tsv, even though it is beautiful.

The croco Brenna is the only Dooney bag that's tempted me in recent months... Even though I also think it's more pricey than it ought to be, were it not for the Dooney logo splayed out across the bag, I'd be seriously considering this one in the teal color. Pretty bag.

I have two Brenna bags that I bought from the 'I Love Dooney' site. One is kind of small and the other is large. Just love that style.

A293715 Dooney & Bourke Florentine Brenna Satchel Handbag
Thanks to your tip, I just ordered it in red, which looks like a rich maroon-ish color. I'll see when I get it. I have Florentine Barlow bags which I adore. And I have one of those in red but it's a bright red. This looks more like what I think of as the "Aigner red" from the 1970s. I love my Barlow's and my Brennas. The Brenna is best for me because of the shorter handle plus the shoulder strap. The longer Barlow strap is a little awkward and the bag is a little bigger so the Brenna is a better size for me. I'm really excited to get this. Did you order one?
@libbyannE That looks like a great red. Please report when you get it. I saw a red large barlow in store once and it was a deep brick red color, but the ones on the Q look bright red. I don't have a brenna, but have a navy barlow. I agree the straps could be slightly longer and the bag is heavy. I like this one in black, natural and red. Thinking about it ...
I like all the colors. I'll take a picture of it when it arrives. I'm not sure how to put it on this site but I think I can do it. I have the red Barlow which is a bright brick red and the red Brenna, which is more of a true red. This looks a little different. We'll see. I think I'll love it no matter what. I am partial to the Florentine bags so I was thrilled to get your tip that they had a new Florentine Brenna. ( I looked to be sure it wasn't on the Dooney site because I always order from Dooney when I can do the free shipping and no sales tax!)

@libbyannE Hi -- did you get your bag? How do you like it?
Hello! I wrote a review. Yes I received the Florentine Brenna – but by mistake. I looked at the dimensions and canceled the order after I placed it. But they shipped it anyway, so I returned it. I'm glad I got to see it in person. I love the color which is a rich sort of tomato soup read. What I didn't like was the size. The listing said it was a Brenna bag, but the label on it and the dimensions in the listing itself show that it is a small Brenna.. I was looking for the regular Brenna size. i thought the quality was great and I hope they make a regular-size Florentine Brenna, which I will buy without hesitation.

Shawnee, it's on the Dooney website it's called Stanwich, look under Florentine in the search box. Good luck

@libbyannE Thanks for the report. Too bad it didn't work out. Sounds like it's a great shade of red. I was thinking it was a regular Brenna size too. That description should say small or mini Brenna. Looks like they brought out a bunch of mini bags (suede small barlow). I will keep an eye out for a regular size too. I would like one that is smaller than my florentine barlow, but not "mini" size. ![]()
ETA: I see there is a new olive brenna. @gramygram This might be my brenna.
Wish there was a video of the color.
@libbyannE Since you have both brenna and large zip barlow, is the brenna lighter and easier to use? The navy barlow is one of my favorite silhouettes of all time, but a bit heavy when loaded, particularly because the shoulder straps could be a bit longer for me. I'm not much of a satchel person, so wondering how the long strap on brenna works when loaded. TIA!

That teal.looks gorgeous. The Logo doesn't bother me, but, the price does.
Looks like a lovely bag, but, another bag, I so do not need, right now. Definitely, not at that price.
