One Saturday a few weeks ago, a lady who I didn't know came to my door with two plastic envelopes containing Amazon purchases. She said she found them in the street. Apparently the postal carrier in his jeep dropped them and couldn't be bothered picking them up. They just don't care.

We also get the wrong mail at times but the thought of UPS delivering it, is just cringe worthy. They don't have enough brown trucks and even if they did purchase more of them don't have the manpower, as they don't want to hire. I could just imagine getting my mail at 8PM like our packages. {#emotions_dlg.thumbdown}

From my experiences with all 3 dleivery services out there.... I would give USPS a better rating than UPS and FexEx.

Me too.

they seem to have plenty around here.....we had two men per truck during the holidays. our usps and our ups deliver generally around the same time..... between 3-4 pm. BUT ups doesnt deliver us the wrong packages or try to squeeze everything into a box.

They hired temps out here too for the holidays. I'm talking about the rest of the year...they always deliver between 6 and 9 pm but the worse thing is when it arrives into town on a Friday morning and they won't deliver it until Monday and we still get it between 6 and 9 PM. I pay them to ship my stuff not store it for 3 days.

i guess it depends on how reliable your local usps/ups is......i definitely have better service and better luck dealing with ups in our area all year long. i have regular ups drivers who i know by name and who are friendly.

I had a pkg delivered to my job, the tracking info read that it was delivered. Well it was not there that day, so I happened to see the Postal employee who delivers to my job. He said when a pkg states that it was delivered, it means the pkg was delivered to the post office where your package has it final destination. He said the pkg usually shows up the next day. He said that happens when the packages are delivery confirmation.

The city here grew super fast and some services didn't grow with it....didn't catch up. When the demand for UPS was smaller we didn't have these problems. It's been many years now that we've been subjected to 6 - 9 PM deliveries. It has nothing to do with the friendliness or lack of by UPS drivers. It's an upper management decision.

Exact same thing happened to me. I called the post office because it was a SurePost item. Amazon uses that a lot now, to get you the free shipping. To make a long story short, after calling the post office for the package marked delivered and "signed by" {#emotions_dlg.ohmy}{#emotions_dlg.angry}, I received both the original item and the one sent to replace it, soon after my calls.

I also had the exact same experience(marked delivered) with SmartPost, only I never received that one. i was refunded by the merchant, clearly not their fault.

My local USPS branch has periodic issues. I go through periods where I get my neighbors mail. The mail lady stuffs everything in the mailbox, sometimes I have a hard time getting it out. No issues with UPS or fedex.
