lol I went to the PO to buy a mailing box--I had my items all ready--they were out of the official boxes but had others (also official) at my turn, I was ready to pay and mail--I asked if they had tape to secure it--"No we don't have tape"--are you kidding me? I've seen them using it------I had to return home and make another trip-----our carrier is GREAT!!

I don't have issues with any of them.

Oh sure, once in a great while, I'll get someone's envelope. But UPS has also delivered to me, on more than one occasion, the wrong package.

It happens. It's not the norm, and they are only human.

I would have to rate UPS #1. My UPS driver is always polite. The post master where I live is rude to everybody. I can track my usps packages. The tracking number will show that a package was scanned into the post office early in the morning, but I wont get the notice in my box til the next day. I've also had usps boxes that looked like a heavy door had been dropped on them. The boxes actually looked like taco shells.

Want to add....UPS delivers QVC bags with tire tread marks running across them. The bags are filthy to the touch and you have to wash your hands before touching the inner plastic bag or you'll get your brand new items dirty and even the clothes you are wearing dirty! Been there!!! Also, I have received shipping boxes from them that were completely busted open with the contents visible and laying on the ground.

USPS delivers clean QVC bags as well as from other merchants....not a mark on them. On occasion, a cardboard shipping box of Wen was busted open but again, I'm going to cut them some slack especially since they delivered it same day it arrived to town. FedEx also delivers clean bags and I never received a broken shipping box from them.

I mentioned the marks to the post office, and was told that they were probably caused by the machine the package passed through.

USPS is terrible here! Many times things have been marked delivered, but were not. I have lost many hundreds of dollars worth of merchandise due to USPS. I now have to insure everything to even have a hope of receiving it, and the post office actually stole a package It was "out for delivery" but never updated so I called and opened a case. I received a call from a guy who said he was looking at my package, actually a small manilla envelope, and didn't understand why it was not delivered. I never heard another word from him, refused all of my calls. I filed a complaint with the Postmaster General and sent a CD with the guy's message, and havn't heard anything. There are thieves in post offices.

How does one insure something they order? I've not seen that option...I don't think ever.

In some instances one can't insure, but when I buy from ebay or plant companies, I request insurance. I always get it from ebay sellers, and some companies will, others won't.

I used to love the Postal Service but they are lacking........it took from the first of November until January 26 for me to get an invitation to a revival. I did not get to go because the notice was two months late. They are forgetting to pick up my mail........ugh....no wonder they are going under.......so many I don't care attitudes especially at the desk when you go to buy stamps. I might get one nice person after 15.......of ""I AM MAD AT THE WORLD ATTITUDE AND THEY NEVER SAY THANK YOU AND THEY MOVE SO SLOW""...........I am loosing respect for them.

I always judge a business by how well they deal with problems.

So I called after 10am and I was transferred to the postmaster who told me this was the first he was hearing about this. I gave him all of my information and he looked to see if it was still in the post office - it wasn't. Then he told me he would have someone ""look around"" for it and call me back. Never did.

From my experiences with all 3 dleivery services out there.... I would give USPS a better rating than UPS and FexEx.

me too.

USPS is 1st, UPS is 2nd and FedEx is dead last. Hate FedEx.

Had to {#emotions_dlg.laugh} at this! But I agree with you ... can't stand the current delivery man; thinks he's doing me a favor by doing what he's being paid for.
