@Lipstickdiva....have you ever considered that the mail was delivered to one of your neighbors? I have had this happen.
I have enjoyed this thread.... thanks for sharing.

@truffleDid you even read all my post? Did I say it was your problem? DId I say it was an excuse for the carrier? Of course the post office should be run more efficiently, but you are talking about government operation. That isn't going to happen. And there are some great employees that work there who go above and beyond their duties.

@ID2 wrote:I used to have horrible delivery when I lived in the big city. Now that I live in a pretty rural community my mail carrier is awesome! She greets us by name, will drive up our long driveway and leave any package on our back porch. If I see my package is at the PO and not yet delivered, I just stop by and pick it up! Rural living rules!!
Pray the postal service in all its wisdom doesn't decide to close it and squish you into the nearest big city post office, which is what happened to me. I was on a rural route until my post office was closed. Now I'm part of a bigger city post office and its horrible. But the carriers from the small rural route was taken in at the bigger post office and I guess they have it worse than I do.
And i always provide a gift, but I usually do it at Thanksgiving, I give a box of fruit from Florida. She can keep it or share it.

To many American holidays, bad weather, mail mix ups, undependent
route folks.
If I had to worry about being on medications I'd hoof it.
People nowdays don't care about doing their jobs.
@SharkE We just got a notice from our drug prescription plan that if we switched from the local pharmacy to mail order we would save a whopping $11 a year.
For 90 cents a month, which is laughable, it's not even worth the aggravation of it all.
You can bet someone is reaping the benefits
