Its a miracle we ever get a piece of mail.  I got a package notice Saturday (I was home) left by a carrier too lazy to walk to my door.  I went online and requested it be delivered today.  It was confirmed.

So here comes this moron in his jeep.  He raps softly on my door, I get there as fast as I can only to discover a Zulily package.  He's already gone.  He goes up my street, and about 20 min later comes back down the other side so I wait for him.   He tried not to stop although he saw me but I yelled loudly for him to stop.

I showed him my delivery notice and asked where my package is.  Get this... He actually had the gall to say he hadn't been down my side of the street.  I told him he'd just left a package on my doorstep so he'd obviously been down my side plus there was mail in my box.

First he tried to tell me the Zulily pkg was the pkg but I know it's restricted medication from my mail order pharmacy.  So then he blames it on "the clerks" who bring the carriers packages.

I told him I expected to receive it tomorrow.  It would be so much easier to buy drugs on the street.

I'm sad to say I can totally relate.  I honestly believe yours could be my USPS carrier.  We've had to chase ours down on several occasions.

We have had this problem multiple times; carrier doesn't walk 25 feet to my front door and frequently crams an Amazon box into my box so tightly that it takes both me and my husband to pull it out.  I have started taking pictures with my phone and have complained three times to our Post Master. The most recent incident was a tiny speaker (3 inches in size) that carrier didn't walk up to our door; fortunately I got a notice from Amazon that carrier attempted delivery (not, as we were home with screen door open).  I immediately went to post office and complained (I got it that evening, personally delivered by Post Master).  We have had no more problems.

I suppose I could have gone to the post office and gotten it, but if I could wait in a long line I wouldn't need this medication.  This practice of pretending people aren't at home needs to stop.  It just makes double work for the carriers in the end.

Yes, it sounds like the carrier was lazy and not doing his job correctly. I'm not making excuses for him, but please keep in mind that you have no idea what goes on behind the scenes. Post office has a lot of issues just like any other place. Lots of demands made on employees, more parcels to deliver every day, and timelines have to be met. So just try and be patient but I would definitely talk to your post master.

@Kachina624,  Your mail carrier sounds lazy.  I am so glad you contronted him so he could now lie to you.  So now we have a lazy liar.  He should be happy to have that government job with all those benefits.  I would report him if he continues to be a jerk.

I have a lazy carrier as well.

I'm told by the Postmaster that if they don't get to deliver all of the mail in one day due to traffic or other delays, they bring it the next day.

Funny how almost every Friday there is no mail.

Now with Informed Delivery I know darned well what should be in my mailbox.  Two Fridays in a row I had mail according to ID and yet no mail was in my box.

The Friday and Saturday stuff showed up on Saturday.

The post office needs to hire Jehovah Witness.

Those folks never give up.

@Kachina624.  Wow.  That is a rude mail carrier!
