Re: Restaurants That Don't Have Dine In Anymore.

I will not eat indoors, I hope that dining outdoors continues for a while here in the NY area, otherwise it iwll be back to take out

Right now there are only two restaurants where we would dine inside.

Our son-in-law is a district manager and oversees 9 - so it would be one of his that is close to home and the other would be the one our daughter manages.  I know in either one they would tuck us away in a corner away from everyone else and I trust their safety and sanitation practices.

@CrazyKittyLvr2, Yes it did, the service had gotten so bad way before Covid!

DH and I have eaten in restaurants several times since dine in was allowed most recently last night for our anniversary.  The restaurants we patronize tend to be more upscale so no children, strict protocols, etc.  I feel very safe dining in and I do not want these places to go out of business.  One of the few activities we do that makes life feel "normal."

Personally, if I order takeout I don't want to have to bring it home and cook it. Especially something like pizza and wings.

There is a catering hall near us that does takeout meals.  I placed an order  and when I got home and opened it, it was all pre-cooked but ice cold and I had to heat it up.  It was okay but it was like eating leftovers.  I wouldn't complain, I just didn't order from them again.

People are doing what they need to do to stay in business.

@kaydee50 , I've eaten inside a few times and the place was following protocols.  And they weren't crowded.

DH and l will be dining out next week for our wedding anniversary.  The restaurant we will be going to is upscale (the one time I year we do a truly upscale place) so I expect all the protocols to be followed.  The place is never really crowded unless you sit at the bar, which we wouldn't.  We plan on enjoying ourselves.

I would not go into a crowded restaurant to eat however.

We eat out all the time - have done for several months. The only restaurants around here without dine-in are the small Chinese restaurants - I figure because it does not pay them to have dine-in service for just a couple of tables. No restaurants here require masks while you are sitting at the table, which is fine with me.

Re: Restaurants That Don't Have Dine In Anymore.

My husband and I eat out (inside dining) at least 3 to 4 times a week. Most restaurants in our area are open for indoor dining, but, limited to 50% capacity. I am not the least bit worried about sitting in a restaurant to dine.  My personal opinion.......  I just feel my odds of walking out my front door and being struck by lightning are greater than me dying  from this virus. I am just so OVER all this!
