One of our local restaurants remodeled and aren't doing dine in anymore. It is take out only. They do pizza, wings and also have a great menu of many other things.
You can call and order for pick up, after 4 they have 3 specials and sides, you pick what you want. Instead of say a meatloaf dinner with potatoes, veg, salad. You can get just the meatloaf and veggie etc. You only pay for what you pick. They also have their own pizzas frozen along with their lasagna etc in a frozen case.
You can go to their Facebbok page to view the daily soups and special.
The place looks great and they are a wonderful family. The comments were all congratulations, glad you are back, can't wait to come in type stuff.
Except for 1 woman. I know her and she is mobile and can get out. She is not happy about no dining in. "You mean I have to cook it myself?" "Why are you doing it this way?" Blah, blah.
At most, if you get a frozen item you shove it in the oven. She literally lives 200 ft from the place so take out would still be hot when she gets home. You and your friends can get to go and sit on your patio and eat. Or go somewhere else.
I'm just glad they are still in business. They are busting their butts to adapt in this mess, give them a break for Pete's sake.

there will always be complainers in this world. it's impossible to make everyone happy.
i'm happy for you and them, that they're still in business.

Why can't people just be thankful? Thankful they can afford to dine in or take out. Thankful they're healthy enough to dine in or take out. And thankful some businesses have found a way to stay open and hopefully profit.

@freakygirl I am so glad they are still in business. That place was always packed.
They consider their employees family and trust me, I worked in a restaurant, it's not always that way.

It sounds like they have made a very comprehensive and effective game plan, so kudos and I wish them much success.
That lady sounds like she needs to take a 'lude and stop being such a spoiled baby. ![]()

My doctor said restaurants are one of the worst places people could be during Covid.
I told him I never ate out much before Covid so now I won't go in a restaurant to eat at all.
We do pickup orders from a few places every once in a while.
Restaurants generally have kids running amok so not interested.

In every group of people there is always a crank. Rules for living. And we all get our turn at being the crank in the bunch.

They said that even with all the new guidlines for dine in they didn't feel they could guarantee their customers and staff safety.
I give them credit for putting people first and trying a different way to keep going.

@Nightowlz, I saw a report just yesterday about the dangers of dining-in. I was not at all surprised.
