This is a shipping complaint. Nothing wrong with QVC but shipping via UPS is bringing filthy, dirty plastic bags of clothes into my home. They are TOO dirty to bring into my home on my carpeting or my bedspread. The boxes are always clean. It's just the bags of clothes. Am I the only one who is having this problem for at least 2 years? I've finally gotten disgusted enough to finally complain to you. By the way, the packages I received via the US Postal mailman are always very, very clean !!! Is there anyone at QVC who could contact me about this issue of filthy, dirty bags? I have saved them all for the last 2 years & have been in contact with UPS for a couple of weeks now with NO results. They just pass the buck as to who's fault it is. They even suggested that it was QVC's fault.

You lose me there.

Why are you keeping them if you are concerned they are too dirty to even come into your home??

I also get dirty bags from UPS, but I open them, remove the items, and throw the dirty bags in the trash. They don't go on my carpet or bedspread, they go directly into the trash. Once they are open, they're difficult to reuse, so I buy new shipping bags if I need to return something.

I know right?  I keep mine until I am certain I am keeping the item, then in the trash it goes!  The "issue" IMHO is not a QVC, or a particular shipper issue; it is the fact that plastic bags are being used for clothing so often because they are cheap, easily reusable and easier to recycle.  And easier to handle by the shippers.  I get bags from everyone and of course they can be dirty, why wouldn't they be? And sometimes I hold my.breath when I open them.  But so far no damaged goods from anybody.  And I do reuse the bag if I have to send the item back--I just cut it down, seal it up including any holes and take it to the shipper.  So much easier to handle than boxes!  Dirt? I don't care.

Re: RECEIVING FILTHY, DIRTY BAGS OF CLOTHES FROM QVC

I've complained to UPS about the condition of the packages they deliver.  The bags are dirty and some look as if they were run over.  The boxes seem to fair better but there are some that are smashed or broken on the the top or ends.  Occasionally there is a strong aroma of cigarette smoke.

I think the problem has only gotten worse since I complained.

For 2 years? Why didn't you deal with this when it first started happening?

Wonder if there is a Statute of Limitations on Bags.

Re: RECEIVING FILTHY, DIRTY BAGS OF CLOTHES FROM QVC

When I receive bags from Qvc, Levis, Nordtrom via USPS or On Trac my packages arrive clean.  UPS has to be the pigs of the shipping industry for my bags always arrive filthy dirty and when carrying them it usually transfers a bit to the clothes that I am wearing so I have to be very careful.  Washing my hands before opening the clear plastic is an absolute must or the garment WILL get dirty.

Re: RECEIVING FILTHY, DIRTY BAGS OF CLOTHES FROM QVC

I don't expect anything that I have shipped to the house to arrive in pristine packaging. That's what the packaging is for-to protect the contents. I suspect the plastic bags get "dirtier" because of the nature of what they are-easily tossed, easier to end up on the floor of a truck or whatever is carrying them. I have received boxes where the bottoms are dirty. They were obviously placed on a dirty area.  But since I can't dictate the cleanliness of the shippers I won't complain as long as the package arrives undamaged. UPS, Fed Ex, USPS, independent carriers: dirt happens.

If something arrives that's too dirty to bring into the home, open it in the garage. I've done that too. I'd rather have a clothing item arrive in something less bulky than a box, that's for sure.

Dirt doesn't just happen.  It's through carelessness.  I buy a lot online and I do not get dirty bags from USPS or On Trac nor do I appreciate the inconvenience of carrying a filthy bag from UPS and having the dirt get on me, my carpet, etc.

Never had a problem with any package that comes from the USPS.....but UPS...thats another story!! I agree with one of the previous posters who said they look like they were dragged by the truck!

Of course I dealt with it sooner ( 2 years ago & ongoing).  That's the reason I saved the bags. UPS doesn't believe me & says it's not their fault. But this is the first that I called it to QVC's attention. My fault there. QVC answered me with a lovely phone call this morning & are contacting UPS about all of these customer complaints about the dirty bags.

You can add my name to the list of customers who receives (on a regular basis) filthy bags from UPS.  I swear I've seen tire marks on a few, not  truck tires but smaller tires, like the kind on those dollies they use to move large boxes. I've also seen (what look to be) foot prints.

Packages delivered by USPS are pristine by comparison.  How can you not come to the conclusion, it's the fault of UPS?

I mentioned this to a usps guy as I was returning something to QVC, and he told me it was probably a machine belt that was causing the tracks.  I thought it looked as if a vehicle had run over the bag.
