I heard within the last hour . . . that he had sexually harassed someone or exposed himself . . . not sure of the details, wasn't listening closely . . . and was told he was going to be FIRED.

Also heard he had a wife and two children.

There are numerous coincidences. The day before the plane was grounded due to mechanical problems. The pilot chose this time to use the rest room.

What ifs?

My heart breaks for the lives lost and their loved ones who are grieving.

I would never let these terrorists stop me from getting on a plane.

I'm pretty sure that is what they said. I was only half-listening and half-playing on my laptop as I've been away from it for seven days .. . . and was playing catch-up.

Nope, you can't prove evil.

Even with people who are the worst of the worst in history.

It may BE evil, may LOOK like evil, but it may be a mental disorder.

And being a mental disorder doesn't make it any better, really. The result is the same.

Do you really think Hitler was mentally ill? Many reports claim he was not.

I don't think Hitler was mentally ill; I think he literally sold his soul to the devil, in some way, or was demon-possessed. That sounds crazy but the level of evil and depravity and cruelty was, it seems to me, beyond the capacity of a normal, though possibly evil, human being.

I agree, he was totally demonic as well as many of his followers!

I only read a few replies on the first page, but hope that you and others have, by now, noted that it was NOT the pilot but the CO-PILOT who purposefully drove this Airbus into the ground.

This co-pilot had less than 700 hour flying this plane and had not been psychologically evaluated, nor was there a 3rd pilot in the cockpit, which is SOP for many airlines.

So it sounds like not all the facts are in, the investigation is on-going, there are lots of theories flying around, and no one REALLY knows what happened. They know the circumstances, yes, but not the actual truth.

Remember the bombing of the federal building in Oklahoma City, 20 years ago almost to the day? Until Timothy McVeigh--an American-born ex-Marine--was caught, everyone knew it was Islamic terrorists; they KNEW it!

Well, I guess we don't know everything we think we know. I've jumped to conclusions myself and been mistaken so I'll wait till the investigation is as complete as possible.

I feel very sorry for the families and loved ones of the crash victims; I have nothing but sympathy for them. What a cruel way to lose someone.
