Re: Katherine McPhee and David Foster

I hope they remain very happy.

I have always thought Katherine was beautiful and I think she looks lovely in her wedding gown..veil and all. Her gown for after the reception showed off her figure and personally I think she wore it well.

Katherine seems very real to me. She has had issues with self admitted anorexia and depression. She has shared that after Idol it was a struggle finding her way. I hope with her new found happiness with David Foster all her dreams come true.

I think he dumped Yolanda, because she was getting older and he wanted to trade her in for a younger model. Katherine is very talented. She starred in “Waitress” on Broadway, and is opening the show in London. She was also the star of “Smash” on NBC and “Scorpion” on CBS. I’m sure she is hoping that David can help take her career to the next level.

I think when Yolanda was so ill for a few years he strayed away from her at that time.  Plus...like many older men with money and prestige....they get the wandering eye and  lust for young blood. Just the way it is.

When he was married to Yolanda and she was on the Housewives show they were at some thing or other where he was honored. I could be wrong but I think it was when he got one of those stars in the sidewalk in Hollywood. Anyhow, they showed it on Housewives and she was there with him and during his little speech he mentioned his having been married several times previous to Yolanda but said with his marriage to Yolanda he had finally gotten it right. Guess he was wrong.

On his few appearances on that show she seemed to fawn all over him like he was some God. He on he other hand always seemed indifferent to her, especially during her Lyme disease "journey". I think that's what she always referred to it as.....her journey.

I have no idea where they are going to live, but given the age difference, it seems like they are well suited for being regulars on one of the Real Housewives franchises!

Thanks, LOL.

@jpie.  He was on the Housewives of Beverly Hills with his former wife.

Re: Katherine McPhee and David Foster

I used to watch a few of the "Housewife" franchises, for the opulent jewels, clothes, decor, etc.  I remember one of the episodes, where I think Yolanda had already been sick for a while, and it was quite clear that Mr. Foster was fed up with it, (and her?), and had the ill grace to actually display that publicly.  I can't remember if it was a reception or party or something-- it was dark outside, I remember that.

It just repulsed me, that callous selfishness right there for all to see- especially for her to see, and cause pain.  Oh it was dastardly and utterly revealing of the man.

That, and the way that the NY "Housewives" showed Luann intoxicated and helplessly falling, stumbling while on vacation-- that sealed it for me with those shows.  Mr. Cohen in my view seems to like showing human beings at their worst, and has done his share to drag down the culture, as surely as Maury Povich and others of his ilk have done...

Yep! He's been there and done that with Dutch model Yolanda, who suffered from Lyme disease, and is mother to models GiGi and Bella Hadid.

I really think he bailed on Yolanda because she was so sick with Lyme's and was traveling all over the world looking for a treatment.

By QVC's standards, he's a serial returner and he'll be getting 'the letter' soon, LOL!

You are so funny!  A serial returner......ah yes, the letter!

Thanks for the information.  I didn't start watching RH until after they were in this series!

I think you would enjoy @Oznell, Jennifer L. Scott's video on You Tube that completely agrees with you on the subject of Housewives shows. I read it and couldn't have agreed more. She, too, had an interesting "take" on reality shows in general.

I used to watch a couple of them until I realized that they were all manipulated and anything but "real."

@Trinity11.  Yes, you are right. Reality shows have always been scripted.

I really like Jennifer L. Scott, "The Daily Connoisseur", @Trinity11!   Haven't seen her "take" on Housewives shows, but will be sure to look it up.  Am not surprised that she would have similar views on that--  love the way she tries to uplift, from her little corner of the world!
