I used to carry my smartphone in my pocket.  But that was when smart phones were smaller.  Now I have the latter model Samsung.  They are taller and thinner.  I purchased a wristlet.  It was neat.  It had a nice cover with a magnetic clasp in front. It kind of wrapped around your phone.  But I was always afraid I would drop it.  The other day I did.  In a store. The wristlet just gave way.  But my phone was OK.  The padded cover gave it some protection.  So now I'm back to carrying in my bag.  I'm looking for different ways to carry my phone.  Any ideas?

Protection

I have an Otter Box on my iPhone...mostly because I use it for the gym everyday. That case is the Gold Standard for cell phone protection...not a scratch after all these years. 

To Carry

I just throw in my purse.

I don't, it stays locked in my car for emergency use.

When out in my handbag.  I try to avoid carrying it directly on me since I feel that it's just not healthy to do so.  If I'm going from one room in the house to another I'll carry it either in my hand or pocket but then I take it out and place it on a table.

That's all dependent on the circumstances. It could be in a pocket, in my golf bag, in my gym bag or in my purse.

All sorts of ways.  But if you're looking for protection, I second the Otter box, and also a ZAGG screen protector.

I do generally have it nearby, as people sometimes need to contact me as well as me needing them, so it can be in a pocket, wristlet, clutch, purse - whatever suits the moment.  

I have a relatively small iPhone - an oldie.

My phone cover is great.  It looks like the Otter Box but has a magnetic clasp that opens the phone.  I just can't use the leather strap it was attached to.  It will eventually break.  .  My problem with my bag is that it's too short.  It's a cross body and the new bags coming out are getting smaller. It's a long phone & now I need a longer bag.  It's not healthy keeping a phone close to your body.  That's why I liked the wristlet.

I, too, have an Otterbox and carry my cell around in my purse. When at home, I keep in near its charger.

I have a case on my phone so dropping it (which I do) is not a problem.  I would never carry my phone in my pocket because the likelyhood is very high that it would slip out and my phone is too big for that now.  I carry handbags when I am out so, I carry my phone in my bag.  Whether it's a small crossbody or a larger tote,  my phone (with my other things) is in my bag.

I dont carry mine around at all.  When I go to the store its left in my purse in the car.  I only take my cc or cash in my pocket so I dont have to fool with a bag.
