Re: Katherine McPhee and David Foster

@proudlyfromNJ

Yep! He was married to Linda Thompson.

She was former Miss Tennessee (Elvis's attraction) an actress (Hee Haw and more) and lyricist, who was a longtime girlfriend of Elvis Presley (1972-1976).

She then married Bruce Jenner and is mother to Brody and Brandon Jenner.

She married David 1991-2005 and they collaborated on many things including the soundtrack to the Bodyguard, the Whitney Houston/Kevin Costner hit, Pretty Woman and more.

She was so much his equal in the songwriting department, if he couldn't make it work with her........

But maybe that was the problem, she was TOO equal to him.

Yes, life is short, but let's get real, she's too young for him. DF will start to show his advanced age in every way in 10 years. I know, my husband is only 8 years older than I am, he is in his late 70's and he's a shadow of the man he was even 5 years ago and he's in good health for his age.  The money I'm sure makes the difference all around, if he keeps her she won't have to worry about money as she ages and her popularity wanes. Katherine was a fool if she signed a prenup.

I would think they definitely would have signed a prenup. It could be one with the conditions that if they stayed married for such and such a time she would get such and such money.

Re: Katherine McPhee and David Foster

I remember sometime years ago we were watching a show, maybe on PBS, that was something musical and he introduced her and said she was going to be a superstar and yada yada and she sang and he played piano

And that was a long time ago.  Then when I'd see her/him I'd think about that.  It sure took a long time to get here. . . for today's world.

Well, I'm sure they are a great pair.   And when you see stuff like this, of course people are going to talk.  We aren't stupid. You tend to suspect on good cause what's going on.

At least now that she has her own husband, maybe she'll stop trying to hook up with other women's husbands. (look it up).

And him.....well, I'll leave it at that.

I thought her veil with the horizontal stripes was hideous, Zac Posen or not.

And her blue reception dress with the 'wings' on her hips, sure didn't flatter her, IMO.

Jaw-dropping: The gown boasted a fitted white bodice that flowed into an enormous ruffled skirt

Blushing bride: The actress pulled her brunette tresses into a sleek low bun with a middle part

Uhmm, I don't think it was her hips she was looking to be flattered.

Re: Katherine McPhee and David Foster

When he was married to Yolanda and she was on the Housewives show they were at some thing or other where he was honored. I could be wrong but I think it was when he got one of those stars in the sidewalk in Hollywood. Anyhow, they showed it on Housewives and she was there with him and during his little speech he mentioned his having been married several times previous to Yolanda but said with his marriage to Yolanda he had finally gotten it right. Guess he was wrong.

On his few appearances on that show she seemed to fawn all over him like he was some God. He on he other hand always seemed indifferent to her, especially during her Lyme disease "journey". I think that's what she always referred to it as.....her journey.

She looks like she has had all the collagen sucked out of her face and put into her boobs, lol.  Don’t think either gittups flatter her.

Re: Katherine McPhee and David Foster

I remember that right ater Idol, she said she was working on something with Steven Spielberg, which turned out to be Smash, which took many years to finally come to TV. The problem with her in that was thst she was being paired with REAL actresses, not just another pretty face with a decent voice.

When she was on Idol, I remember thinking how she had zero personality, but was very pretty. I think she was raised by a single mother, perhaps, who was some kind of a vocal teacher? Anyway, from marrying her older agent (someone else's husband) and now this one, it sure seems that there are some "Daddy issues."  I am sure she will be fine and that the pre-nup will take care of her. I don't see a big musical career for her or it would have happened. When you have David Foster and Steven Spielberg pulling strings for you, if it was going to happen, it would have. Small parts, sure, just never going to be the main draw.

I loved that blue dress, and good Lord I am coveting that silver globe handbag.  Do you think it is Judith Leiber.??

To each their own. They love each right now, who knows what life will bring.
