@customerqvc2 Well, I don't know about you, but I do have to go to the bathroom whether or not I have a virus.  I also no longer get a Sears catalog.

Of course reasonable people will buy extra (not going to go to hoarding) amounts extra.  Most of us really don't want to run out.

I do not understand anyone saying they don't understand why anyone wouldn't have a few weeks supply in this day and age.  We have known for weeks this could happen.

I normally buy one large package of toilet paper and it lasts me for about two months.  Just by accident, my DH bought one extra package before all the hoarding started.  So, I am good until some time in the summer.  Most people are buying months and months supply of toilet paper, as far as I've seen at my stores.  With all that extra supply, pretty soon, nobody will need any toilet paper until several months from now.  So as I see it, most people should not run out any time soon because most stores should have lots of supply again to replace the current buying freenzy.

Remember when toilet paper was sold only in 4 roll package?  I always felt a bit embarrassed buying the huge packages of 8 or 12 (that in recent years ALL tell you how many rolls it is really equivalent to.)

I still generally look for a 4 roll pack, but they are the exception now.   Our family had 6 children.  I don't know how we ever got by because my mom never bought more than one 4 roll pack at a time.

@GrailSeeker TP is very different now.  It is mostly air.  It is so fluffed up you have to have a bale of it.

I ventured out yesterday afternoon to Kroger with ten things on my list. No onions, just a shelf with a pile of onion skins! No coffee, apples, bananas, frozen veggies, or yogurt. No tp but that wasn't on my list. No chunky soup, except one can with the label torn off. I was leaving empty-handed and saw a woman waiting to checkout and her cart has half-full with cans of chunky soup...at least 75 cans....I saw no limit on any signs. That's hoarding! There are also shortages of baby formula here...but that is kept under lock and key everywhere.....I don't get it.  Decided to do online shopping for groceries and do curbside pickup...two stores are out of stock on lots of stuff...even Walmart.

I think its going to catch up to the hoarders sooner or later. Things should start leveling out because how much disposable income do the hoarders have for groceries.....and a person or family can only eat and store so much.. They sure invested a lot of money of groceries----what about other bills---- hope they budgeted well....If they expect to make some extra cash selling their hoard, I bet they are sadly mistaken....It will be interesting to wait and see.....

I can understand the toilet paper purchases because with multiple people in a household, it is something that is used multiple times a day and runs out quickly.  I went to Walmart today, and it is wiped out like it has been the past week, but they had a sign that said please limit to 3 packages only.  I thought that was a big limit.  I would say limit 2 at the most at this time.  No stores here have it and if they get it, it is gone quickly.

I don't know anyone who is hoarding -- at least no one is admitting it.

Just trying give a helpful suggestion. I stopped at Walgreens some days ago, to get their brand of starlight mints.

I went down the grocery aisle to check it out. They had a great supply of Stouffer's frozen meals, other frozen things,  AND a great supply of Campbell's soups. Regular, chunky and healthy choice. I bought 2 cans of Chunky Chicken Noodle.

There was only 1 other customer besides me in the store.

So, if you're looking for things like that, think outside the box. Try Walgreens or CVS.

Why is it, when I have a 50/50 guess at something, I'm always 100% wrong?
