Thank you!  People get so hung up on the forecasts and don't realize that they are talking about the "eye."  That storm is as long as Florida and 3 times as wide!  Hope we never see one line it.  Sorry that anyone has to experience it.  I remember Hugo.  It was huge like this and did lots of damage.

To all of you in the storms path, take care.  Please!  I pray you have peace and shelter from the storm.  May God hold you close, and keep you from harms way.  It may be scary and terrifying. But your life is so worth more any belonging you might loose.  Peace and wisdom.  Amen

Re: Here We Go Again - Hurricane Prep.

Heads up to those of us in North and Central Georgia.  From NOAA for our area:

I just saw we have a hazardous outlook for weather starting tonight (nothing for Friday right now)  but they are expecting very gusty winds and thunderstorms beginning late this afternoon.  They are still unsure of the weekend into Monday depending on the actual track.

I know most of the news coverage has been focused on the Carolinas as it should be but WSB said nothing about any of this this morning except for "a few local rain showers" so please be aware there is a difference of opinion on what we might get.

The last time our vaulted local meterologists didn't give us all the information from the national weather centers, a lot of us spent a night on the interstates during a snow storm.

Just FYI, since I know some of us may want to do a little outside prep just in case NOAA is correct and the winds do pick up and/or we do get late thunderstorms this way.
