where is the justice?--her captive is going 2 b released 5 years early--she should never get out of jail in my opinion--as Elizabeth Smart said she knew exactly what was going on and she even encouraged that man whoever he was--where is the justice in America?--so sad--------------------------------

Some kind of new fresh smelling mess is what this is. I saw this this am. I cannot even believe it.

One of the reporters this morning on CNN said someone, maybe her, had asked Elizabeth about Wanda and she said Wanda was SO VERY MEAN to her, while she was being held captive. So now, Elizabeth has 2 little kids and how on earth is she going to even be able to relax.

I agree @danedylan, she should not ever be seeing the light of day. She was an accomplice to kidnapping and rape of a young girl. No words for my disgust.

I saw a news broadcast on HLN and one of the presenters said the woman apparently served some of her time in Federal prison and that time was supposed to count so the parole board had no choice but to credit her the time and let her out...She should have been put into the sex offender category because of Elizabeth Smart's age at the time of the crime.  I hope they keep an eye on her as I think she is still dangerous (regardless of her age).

Apparently part of her plea deal they were supposed to count time served and they didn't.

We're  all sick about it.

Poor Elizabeth. I can't even imagine what she is going through. I also think along with others here, her captor should NEVER be allowed to go free. I hope the authorities keep an eye on her and throw her back in jail if she so much as jaywalk. I am praying for Elizabeth and her family

It is not like she is getting away with anything, it is was all agreed upon.  Prosecuters should have been clearer.  As they say the devil is in the details.

It’s unclear to me...is this parole or is she free?

People do more time for robbing a bank versus hurting a child!!! I already feel my blood pressure rising. Sickening!🤬🤬🤬

Anyone remember enough of the details of why her sentence was so different from that of the man?  If she'd had his sentence to begin with, we wouldn't be having this discussion.

I'm so disgusted and mad about this story, and can't imagine how Elizabeth Smart and her family feel about this.  She seems like such a poised woman for all the horrors she's endured.  This monster woman shouldn't be free to roam the streets.  I don't care what type of "deal" this is, but Elizabeth is getting the raw end of it.  Sick!
