We have our own well which is good, no chlorine or fluoride. We have a reverse osmosis system and have a separate faucet for that at the sink and is also linked into our refrigerator, which is also used in the ice maker.
Purified water is so good.
When we do need bottled water because we're traveling and for convenience we buy reverse osmosis water.

Neither.
They put poison (fluoride) in our tap water so I don't drink or cook with it. There are no inexpensive water filters that remove fluoride.
I don't buy single serve plastic bottles of water for various reasons - environmental and not being practical are two of the reasons.
I refill gallon jugs at the grocery store (there is a water machine) and use the water from them for cooking and drinking. I use steel water bottles to take water with me when I leave home.
