IMHO, beginning to think there's a new species in today's world, which for lack of a better word is despicable scum. Any living thing with a soul does not think in this way; only despicable scum.
Sadly, it isn't a new species at all.
Big Game Hunting, or even small game hunting, has been practiced for centuries. New species? No. Countless people from all walks of like, yesteryear & today, hunt on a regular basis.?..even a former President (Teddy Roosevelt).
Until ALL animals are spared their life, regardless of mounted on a wall or a #3 cheeseburger special at Wendy's, eating & hunting animals will always be part of our World culture. If you eat'em....you're part of the issue.

Let's not mix apples and oranges. Not to mention that this is not true.

Why are there so many "straw man" arguments when people cannot deal with issues head on?
Worth repeating a post previously seen here:
"Description of Straw Man
The Straw Man fallacy is committed when a person simply ignores a person's actual position and substitutes a distorted, exaggerated or misrepresented version of that position.
This sort of "reasoning" has the following pattern:
Person A has position X.
Person B presents position Y (which is a distorted version of X).
Person B attacks position Y.
Therefore X is false/incorrect/flawed.
This sort of "reasoning" is fallacious because attacking a distorted version of a position simply does not constitute an attack on the position itself. One might as well expect an attack on a poor drawing of a person to hurt the person.
Examples of Straw Man
1.-
Prof. Jones: "The university just cut our yearly budget by $10,000."
Prof. Smith: "What are we going to do?"
Prof. Brown: "I think we should eliminate one of the teaching assistant positions. That would take care of it."
Prof. Jones: "We could reduce our scheduled raises instead."
Prof. Brown: " I can't understand why you want to bleed us dry like that, Jones."
2.-
"Senator Jones says that we should not fund the attack submarine program. I disagree entirely. I can't understand why he wants to leave us defenseless like that."

A lion (Cecil's brother) has more sense than a human dentist.
Says a lot about the animal kingdom hierarchy.
Sure does.
I'm so tickled that he's stepped up as the cubs protector, that very rarely happens in lion society.
I always have to turn the channel when that happens.

That is just beyond all understanding. I really hope this "person " gets what he deserves and all those like him. Can you imagine paying tens of thousands of $ to slaughter endangered, majestic creatures. Seriously mind boggling.

Of course it isn't. RIDICULOUS reasoning.

Geez, I'm afraid to write anything, what with people turning in any post they find offensive... I'm thinking of the connection between serial killers and those who hurt animals.
There is no doubt there are some very twisted psychopaths out there, more than we ever knew before.
Actually, most serial killers started out by killing animals. Ted Bundy, John Wayne Gacy, Jeffrey Dahmer, just to name a few.

That's not what I said. I said that according to studies on serial killers, they started out torturing & killing animals.
I said nothing about people who hunt animals are serial killers.

Nope, I never said that. And... A does not lead directly to G.
