Re: Anyone else dislike Fall and all that it Entails?

The only downside to fall is that winter is next! Hate cold weather and snow.

Fall is my favorite season, maybe because I hate heat and humidity.  I wish my friends and family would quit griping about the impending winter and just let me enjoy "my" season.

I HATE Summer---I hate, the heat, the humidity, the bugs, it doesnt get dark until almost 10PM.  I stay in air conditioned places

I'm a spring person, and l don't understand why more people don't consider spring to be their favorite season. I look forward to it after the long, cold, grey winter. It also brings more daylight, blue skies and blooming colors. I love being able to open my windows and let fresh air into the house, after months of stuffy, dry heating. To me, it represents a re-birth. And the baseball season arrives!

Fall, on the other hand, means leaves and flowers are dying, and the icy cold weather and flu season are coming. And months of long nights and cabin fever are ahead. Woman Sad

@handygal2 I suspect for the same reason some people don't like fall... because of what follows it... If you like summer, odds are you like spring, if, like me, you aren't a summer person, then there you go... I appreciate all the seasons in varying degrees but do wish summer and winter did't last so long and that spring and especially fall, lasted far longer... As for flu season, get real, what's worse than a summer cold... They never go away... Not even to mention mesquitos, the muggy and buggy days of summer, and spring and summer allergies... Every season has its downside... All that said, I do like spring, but I prefer fall... assuming we ever get one...

I love Fall for all these reasons and more. Each season has it’s unique beauty and I enjoy experiencing all of them in their own time.

Fall is my least favorite season.

Severe allergies to Ragweed and Goldenrod.

Sinus, ears, throat, headaches, eyes.

*** Edited to add

Additionally where I live Autum signals the start of HURRICANE season.

Enough said.

Someone asked how those who love fall feel about winter... I'm just not a person who likes extremes... I like cool and I like warm, I do not like extended periods of cold or hot and I don't like damp, humid weather... If I had to pick between cool or warm, I'd pick cool... I like winter, so long as we don't get extended bitter cold and I love snow, but I don't like blizzards... I abhor heat and humidity, much less the extended periods we get of it where I reside ... I find that I'm usually ready for a change in season. I love seeing the trees bud and the longer days of spring, just as I love seeing the quality of the light shift and the darker blue skies of fall... All of the seasons have something to offer us, but I just wish some of them were shorter and some of them were longer... Any way you slice it, it doesn't matter what any of us prefers, we get what we get and there's nothing to be done about it unless we choose to move to what we view as a better climate!! Personally, I'm tempted...

@stevieb: I agree that both spring and fall weather don't last long enough. I don't like extremes of either heat or cold, but unfortunately it seems that this is what we've been getting lately, with not enough temperate weather in between.

@handygal2

Even though fall/winter are my favorite seasons.🍂  🎃 🏈

Spring is just beautiful here in South and Central Texas...all the beautiful fields of wild flowers are everywhere even in the city and suburbs---just goregeous!!!  But the heat and humidity starts to creep in and I Hate baseball...🌷🌷🌳⚾

And summer time here is when things turn brown from the heat except for the crepe myrtle trees, and few natiive flowering plants (unless we have a rainy summer like we did this year)....And summer means staying in the A/C and that's when we get cabin fever 😎  🌻 🌞

Winter here is like fall up north.....we do get occasional ice storms, but snow is rare and a treat...course it melts in a few hours.....people build snowmen, there's snowball fights, and just love watching it then its gone...we had some last year.....And I love the Christmas season!
