Re: Anyone else dislike Fall and all that it Entails?

Summer here is like the heat of hades. I will not miss summer at all.

Re: Anyone else dislike Fall and all that it Entails?

Summer is my favorite season followed by spring. I like early fall, from now through October. I love Halloween, it's a chance for people of all ages to have fun and realize being scared is a part of life.

November through March is my least favorite time of year apart from Christmas. It gets dark after 4pm, and the last several winters here in Maryland have been cold, icy, and extremely windy. I don't mind cold days if it's sunny and dry. I have mild SAD and too many gray, wintry days really irritate my mood.

I think the major factor is that society doesn't want to let you enjoy one season before they try and shove the next one onto you.

Re: Anyone else dislike Fall and all that it Entails?

While I like the idea of fall, the breeze through the leaves and all, in reality it just gets me closer to winter, which I despise.

I don't like that it gets dark so early.  I don’t like that it’s cold.  I don’t like the fact that while we don’t usually have snow where I live, we have long periods of gloom in the winter.  Drizzle and mist and dark and gray and 38 degrees kind of gloom. It depresses me and kind of stops me in my tracks. I just count the days till it’s spring again.

Mostly it’s because I’m so cold all winter. Unnaturally cold. I have Hashimoto’s thyroiditis and have been on Synthroid for 25 years. My levels are all checking out fine, but ever since I lost a significant amount of weight a few years back, I’m just so cold in the winter. Cold to the point where it affects plans that I make. I just stay cold to the bone all the time. If I go to the movies, I make sure I’m wearing heavy socks, clogs, a jacket and I take another jacket to put over my legs and I’ll still cold.  Sometimes I’ll even wear gloves.  It’s ridiculous.

Why is it, when I have a 50/50 guess at something, I'm always 100% wrong?

When we actually get fall, I love it. It's probably my favorite season. Unfortunately, where I am, while I see the temperatures are coming down a little, it's not really enough to make it seems as though the season has changed... Besides, the humidity remains high into the foreseeable future... It appears that once again, we'll be having an endless summer, which is so NOT my favorite season... On top of that, this was a particularly unpleasant summer and I won't be at all sorry to see it go, assuming it ever does... Don't like heat, don't like humidity, don't like seemingly endless clouds and rain.. Give me cool, crisp air anytime...

Fall is my favorite season; everything about it is fantastic to me.

Summer could be all of two two weeks long, if I had my wish.

Fall lasts such a short time in NYC .... if you blink, you can miss it.

Not me!!!  I am so glad that summer is over.  Summer is my least favorite season.  My favorite is winter.  I just love cold weather.  So happy for the change in temperature today.  Only 65f.

I'm a spring person, and l don't understand why more people don't consider spring to be their favorite season. I look forward to it after the long, cold, grey winter. It also brings more daylight, blue skies and blooming colors. I love being able to open my windows and let fresh air into the house, after months of stuffy, dry heating. To me, it represents a re-birth. And the baseball season arrives!

Fall, on the other hand, means leaves and flowers are dying, and the icy cold weather and flu season are coming. And months of long nights and cabin fever are ahead. Woman Sad

I like Winter better, because Spring follows.
