You can put them in your gift closet and then you'll have them for your mail person or manicurist or bus driver!

I came home one day and DH was working on our deck and there he was with my Waterman pen outside, marking up his decking boards so he knew where to cut. The next day that pen came to work with me and I still have it, 17 years later.
So it's not just fabric scissors we have to hide from husbands! ![]()

Men are often very particular about their tools. My dad was, yet couldn’t grasp the concept of not using fabric sissors on his garage projects or metal spatulas on the nonstick pans. I have my grandmother’s utility sissors. They must be close to 100 years old and best ever.

@CelticCrafter, ohhhh. I remember using my mom's good fabric scissors to cut paper when I was little.
@SunValley, reading your post about the metal spatulas reminded me of another of DH's home projects. He was putting ceramic tile down in our foyer. Imagine my surprise when I walked through and noticed he was using my kitchen whisk to mix up the grout.

I have 2 Mont Blancs. Both about $350. One a gift and the other I bought. I love them and definitely keep track of where they are. I do not let clients borrow but keep ordinary pens handy for their use. As a banker, I am always writing. I have had both now for about 10 years.

I have a silver Tiffany pen I received as a gift, which I cherish because of the giver.
People spend thousands on fountain pens such as Montblanc.
Some people like fancy pens. I personally like a nice gel pen from Costco, but everyone has different tastes.
I don't understand expensive watches (especially in this day and age) but they continue to be popular with watch-fiends.

I was wondering the same thing...who would give Scrubmommys as gifts?

Guess that'd be a way of letting someone know you think they need to clean their house. Can't imagine giving or getting them as a gift.

I received this beautiful pen from DH over 25 years ago and it's been in my purse ever since. My good luck charm! Never had to replace it and only had to get one pen refill ,at Tiffanys of course...( that pen refill was even cheaper than that toothpick in the famous movie....lol! Probably the cheapest....errrrr.... I mean least expensive item in the whole store!!!) So as for the price for a pen......I guess it depends on the pen but I sure have received LOTS of pleasure from this beauty. DH got his money's worth many ,many times over. and I got a beautiful pen for life.
